@Matt_Mulvaney This was the first version I ever used in 2012. (pre-installed in a school ERP) We upgraded to 4.x soon after, so most of my early APEX memories are on that. I remember being instantly fascinated and infatuated even with 3.2, though.

I was awarded with the "Innovation Top Speaker" 🏆 award at this year's Kscope24 conference in Nashville - the biggest and most popular among Oracle developers. This is particularly proud moment, because this award is thanks to attendees feedback. And to my delight, both of my sessions were found interesting and useful. They were both related to the fast developing AI and ML. The one that got the best rating and won us this award, was our presentation with @roadling about the use of ML for solving different challenges in the aviation business. And I think this is the key for grabbing the audience attention - show a real world problem, an elegant solution and highlight the value you get out of it. Thanks @odtug for their efforts organizing this event and to @InsumSolutions for making it possible for so many people to get a glance of how innovation can help in so many different use cases.

@DenesKubicek @richsoule @DougAGault ^100% agree, nothing more evil than ridiculously long procedures with multiple nested cursors that all use “rec”, “i”, or another generic index variable in the for loop. A few of those have wasted more of my time than adjusting to ANSI SQL

@richsoule @DougAGault That's just fine. Nice, we all have a choice. For me, there is only one more awful coding practice - a procedure that starts with multiple cursors in the define section, and then those get referenced 2000 lines down below. In such cases, I don't just get a rush but eye cancer. 🤦‍♂️

@plamen_9 @Oracle_Edu @OracleAPEX Thanks, Plamen! I actually skipped the training & only did the skill checks to see if I was ready, but I looked through some videos & they were good. This one was easier than the last test on APEX 18 & it covered recent features like App Search, Approvals, PWA, & Smart Filters.
