Whatever happens with this coup attempt in Russia, it's yet another reminder of the self-defeating stupidity of war. Nothing has undermined Moscow's security interests or the stability of Putin's rule like the choice to launch this unnecessary invasion. And it was so predictable

Was going through old files on my computer and found a few transportation-related data visualizations that I made when I was in college. These were made before I transitioned almost entirely to R for my analysis/visualization work and still used GUI-based tools primarily.

Trump escalated the Yemen war, upped drone strikes, brought us to the brink of Iran war, conflict with China, a failed Venezuela coup, increased support for repressive clients. A partial list. The claim that he’s being persecuted for being “anti-imperialist” is very silly.
