Another thing I wanna say and this might sound a bit like a rant. It is regarding some comments I’ve been seeing directly under Sohee’s own IG lately.
I genuinely don’t know whether these people are antis pretending to be fans or what, but some of the comments have truly become too much. Constantly telling Sohee to “take acting seriously,” degrading her decisions and career path, calling her lazy, comparing her to other actresses and even using her own words against her whenever she mentions being tired or exhausted.
What shocked me more is seeing people talk as if Sohee has done absolutely nothing all these years when she literally has projects released every single year, including 2 films this year alone.
Even Kfans themselves were confused seeing those comments because Project Y was just released not long ago and her upcoming film The Intern remake will be released this year. So I read that they said they have never once thought Sohee was someone who was lax or lazy about her acting career.
And somehow all the things she has done, acting projects, action school, fanmeeting tour, interviews, photoshoots, brand campaigns and other activities suddenly become meaningless just because they don’t fit some fans’ personal expectations of what her career should look like.
▂
I’m usually not too affected by hate comments from random strangers because maybe they don’t really know or follow Sohee’s journey properly. But seeing comments like this coming from people who call themselves fans honestly feels more disappointing than anything.
When I saw comments saying she should feel embarrassed compared to her juniors, saying her career is pathetic, saying she doesn’t work hard enough or mocking her for not winning awards…even I felt hurt reading it. So I can’t even imagine how it would feel for Sohee herself to read those words from her own fans.
Not to mention that I just came across a post by kfans where they also were questioning whether those negative comments were actually written by Korean fans despite being written in Hangul because they sounded translated.
▂
Please have some decency and self-awareness first before trying to lecture Sohee about her own life and acting career. I couldn’t help responding yesterday because the comments were becoming way too rude and entitled towards someone else’s life.
I feel like many fans nowadays have become overly impatient, harsh and emotionally demanding towards celebrities they supposedly support.
Fans can absolutely have opinions, discussions or even disappointment regarding projects and career choices. But there’s a difference between expressing thoughts respectfully and constantly degrading someone as if they’ve done nothing with their career or life.
Of course I cannot control how people behave, but the way some people talk to Sohee lately is genuinely absurd.
Can’t we just continue living our own lives peacefully while waiting for good news from Sohee instead of constantly creating pressure, negativity and disappointment around everything she does?
▂
For now, part of me is actually relieved that she isn’t too active on SNS or any communication platforms because nowadays it feels like no matter what she does, there will always be people criticising her over it and sometimes it’s sadly coming from her own fans too.
And seriously, it’s sad seeing all her efforts suddenly become “not enough” simply because they did not match certain fans’ expectations.
Our Sohee honestly doesn’t even seem to have much room to breathe lately with all her schedules and personal worries, especially while continuously worrying about her grandma who is still receiving treatment now. So instead of adding more pressure onto her, I truly hope people can become a little warmer and kinder towards her.
More than anything, I sincerely hope grandma recovers well and that Sohee can stay healthy too, film safely, receive lots of love and slowly have more peaceful and happier days ahead 🌷🍀

Hi! It’s been awhile since I wrote a long message like this.
I think many of us came across the gosa ceremony picture for Netflix’s Solo Leveling today. For those who don’t know, gosa is basically a traditional prayer ceremony held before filming starts to wish for safe and smooth filming. So I think naturally, a lot of fans started asking again about Sohee’s participation since there’s still no official confirmation from Netflix or 9ato.
I received some DMs too, so I just wanna share the timeline & context properly.
▂
The first official announcement for this project came from Netflix’s official website on 9 July 2025, confirming Byeon Wooseok as the lead.
For Sohee, the first casting report came from Sports Kyunghyang on 29 Aug 2025. On the same day, 9ato responded that SoLev was one of the projects she received an offer for & was currently reviewing.
Then later in Jan 2026, when a reporter directly asked Sohee whether she was reviewing SoLev as her next project, she answered yes, for now, she was reviewing it.
For Kang Youseok, his casting was reported by Hankyung on 19 Nov 2025. His agency also responded that he received an offer & was positively reviewing it. Later, during his Bold Page interview on 16 Apr 2026, he said that he would be filming SoLev in May.
▂
So if we look at the flow properly, Sohee & KYS’s cases are actually quite similar. There was never some separate official agency statement saying “Yes confirmed. They accepted the project.”
Both of them directly or indirectly mentioned the project over time instead.
That’s why many fans currently assume Sohee may already be internally confirmed too, esp bcoz there has been no rejection statement from 9ato until now. For her previous false casting reports like Dotgabi, CTLBT & Island, 9ato clarified them very quickly.
▂
Another thing I hope fans can understand is that official casting news does not always come out the same way for every project. Every production works differently. Esp for a Netflix project, the timing may follow Netflix’s own publicity schedule instead of the actor agency’s timing. This is similar to GC too.
Sometimes fans may already come across related info like filming duration, completed casting info or production-related details from industry/work websites. Those things can be real, but they are not necessarily meant as public official announcements yet.
There could also be an embargo involved. Meaning media outlets may already receive certain information earlier, but they are not allowed to publish it until the official timing.
That’s why sometimes we suddenly see 20-30 articles released at the exact same minute with almost identical wording.
Tbh, even I myself as a fanpage have experienced embargo situations before. I received DMs from brands like Balenciaga, FILA & Boucheron asking me to take down certain photos/videos bcoz they were still under embargo even though some materials were already uploaded on official websites for product-related purposes.
▂
So even if everyone already knows the role is Cha Hae-in, Netflix may still want to reveal it together with the full cast lineup, character introduction or official visuals. Since CHI is an important intro regardless of her screen time, they may not want to reveal her through just a casual casting article.
Basically what I’m trying to say is that 9ato may not be free to say anything yet even if fans keep asking.
And realistically speaking, even if the casting news finally gets announced, there’s nothing much fans can do besides supporting Sohee with excitement & good energy.
▂
So I really hope ppl who call themselves fans can stop leaving harsh or degrading comments towards Sohee & 9ato over this matter. I understand the curiosity and anxiety, I really do. But pressuring her or the agency will not suddenly make Netflix release the announcement faster.
That’s all for my Solev talk. Maybe not the info everyone wanted, but I hope this helped clear up some confusion 🤍
