I’ve got my hands on the 2026 conference agenda for the National Education Union the UK’s largest teaching union.
It states:
“Reaffirm the union’s opposition to all forms of racism, fascism and far-right extremism, including the divisive politics promoted by Reform UK.”
And then:
“The trade union movement must throw its full weight behind stopping a Reform UK government.”
This isn’t neutral.
It’s the UK’s largest teaching union taking a clear position against a political party while Zack Polanski has been invited to speak at conference.
And these are the people shaping what’s happening in our classrooms.

🚨 The Muslim Council of Britain was given a platform at yesterday’s Together hate march.
Dr Wajid Akhter taking on the "far right": “Unity means learning from the people of Gaza.” What? And how dare he invoke the Cenotaph as a symbol of anti-fascism while addressing a crowd of fascists.
The government still maintains a policy of non-engagement with the MCB, yet that didn’t stop Labour MPs sharing the same platform. The renewed mainstreaming of the MCB is a big threat.

Please re read my tweet Mehdi. My argument is that Polanski has allowed the Green Party to be usurped by radical Islamists.
He has done so for cynical and self serving reasons (I’m sure he doesn’t personally think ‘jews are an abomination’ or that homosexuality should be punished by death, or that women should be punished for dancing).
But the result of his calculation is, among other things, scenes of Green Party members aligning themselves with one of the worst regimes on earth, of Deputy leader Mothin Ali being pictured surrounded by Iranian Flags, & voluminous examples of ‘Greens’ using language about Jews (not Israelis) that would have been familiar in 1930s Germany but taboo only a few years ago in the UK.
You will have seen the above and more besides, but are of course free to pretend otherwise
