As an Islanders fan, the Mets CANNOT make the same mistake the isles did this year. The Mets, like the Isles, are a deep down bad team. And you cannot let the inevitable lucky win streak here and there trick you. This team has to be sellers this year.

This isn’t overreacting to his regularly scheduled bad start, but if this team is significantly out of the playoff hunt by the deadline (which isn’t out of the question) then you have to trade Lindor. You have to end this era of $350m rosters underachieving. You have to move on

This isn’t a playoff team. And the sooner the fanbase realizes the healthier it’ll be. And the sooner the front office realizes the better prepared we’ll be for the deadline. If this team is a seller at the deadline, you HAVE TO (HAVE TO!) trade Lindor.
