@happyrachy 😂😂 Ok, that sounds worse. I think it comes from baby wipes for me. Or blankets? But it drives me crazy!! My niece used to pick pink fuzz off her blanket and put it by her nose for comfort. She’d then sneeze bright pink. 😂

Am I the only one who gets little fuzzies in my eye almost every day or do I just live in a very fuzzy filled house??

My brain recently got stuck on wanting to make a Monopoly Property Card for the #CormoranStrike and #RobinEllacott Detective Agency and this was the result! What other properties should we do?

@LindsayMLand Yes to all of these comments. It comes down to that everyone is different and people communicate differently. Some people are tenacious, and some are not. The three of you make a lovely blend. This podcast is my comfort listen, even when it gets a bit contentious 😘

Since my attention was drawn to these bad reviews about myself, I have to say that what hurts the most is…we don’t talk over each other because that’s all edited and the audio is moved to make it easier to hear and listen to!! Gah! If it happens, I move the audio!

@TheSEFilesPod Some personal faves are Ligeia and To Mrs. M.L.S. He was definitely a creepy weird addict. But he gave us a genre we love!

@TheSEFilesPod Ok...I'm here to stand up for Poe. Not as a person or a man, but as an author. As The Father of the Detective Story. I have never enjoyed reading Longfellow as much as I've enjoyed reading Poe. Back up off him because without him we may never have had Robert Galbraith!

I’m rereading #TheHallmarkedMan & @jk_rowling you really put us through it! 😘The way ch 31 & 32 start with my heart fluttering out of my chest & floating on air only to be shot down & immediately stomped on! Sigh…it’s actually a pretty good description of the whole book.

I’m not sure if I’m proud or annoyed that I guessed the killer within the first few chapters.

Highly recommend studying a dead language, perusing obscure dialect dictionaries, seeking out books & films that test your attention span, reading folklore & poetry from before you were born. You need to actively cultivate curiosity in a world that’s trying to make you dumb.

read books that you don't understand. read books where you have to pay attention. read books that make you reread a page eight times to figure it out. read books that you need to take notes on. read books with words you have to google. read books that don't make sense without research on the setting. read books that make you feel stupid because otherwise you'll just be stupid.

@kasstl1 I've been fortunate never to have had recurring nightmares. I'm sorry that you do. You are in good company, though. JRR Tolkien also had a recurring nightmare of a giant wave obliterating the land.

"It will be alright. Hold on..." The full-cast audio edition really brought the "Priori Incantatem" chapter to life in a way that I don't recall experiencing before. And I may have teared up a bit as Lily (Tia Bannon) encouraged Harry with the words, "It will be alright. Hold on." 🥹 That's magic, folks.

“Times like that bring out the best in some people, and the worst in others” As I enjoy the full-cast audio production of Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire, I’m reminded that @jk_rowling taught us all about the pitfalls of self-justification, and how easily fear can fall prey to tyranny and the desire for power.
