Prince Edward Island Footage (2001)
This clip emerged nearly 25 years ago in June 2001 and purports to show a large black furry subject running across a field on Prince Edward Island, Canada. PEI is not a Bigfoot hotspot, but this video stands out in the Bigfoot community. I have to say that it gives me pause and I lean toward this being a real encounter. I would love to know what you all think of it.
It was captured in June 2001 by two individuals named Nathan and Noah Wiley while they were shooting a scene for a homemade movie involving a chase through the woods. The footage shows a large, dark, furry figure emerging from the tree line, running bipedally across a clearing in a gorilla-like gait, and disappearing into the opposite woods. The clip is about 10-15 seconds long and has circulated online since the early 2000s.
Arguments for a Real Bigfoot Sighting
• Creature’s movement shows realistic primate-like gait, transitioning from knuckle-walking to upright, with natural speed hard to fake in 2000s.
• Physical traits match Sasquatch reports: 6-8 ft height, broad build, long arms, uniform fur without visible seams or unnatural stiffness.
• Wiley brothers’ accounts claim accidental capture during casual filming, adding spontaneity.
• Frames suggest authenticity due to fluid athleticism beyond typical costume capabilities.
Arguments for a Hoax
• Filming context was a chase scene for homemade movie, allowing easy staging with costumed actor.
• Audio cues like “get ready—go” imply direction; creature’s path feels contrived.
• PEI’s small size, high population density, and limited wilderness make Bigfoot population unlikely; no supporting evidence like tracks or sightings.
• Low video quality hides potential costume flaws; Nathan Wiley’s creative background suggests prank or stunt without verification.
You’ll recall that I have a problem with alleged Bigfoot videos where the videographers exclaim “what is that?” This video is not that at all; it’s quite the opposite. The cameraman’s reaction seems genuine in its spontaneity and timing. I am particularly impressed with the running toward the subject to get a better view. If that was staged then I give them very high marks for believability.
So what say you?

@gjp12775 @MartinSLewis @OctopusEnergy Sign up and pay on receipt of bill you’ll never pay for more than you use then. Keeps your money in your bank.
English

@MartinSLewis Hi Martin. We tried to get a fixed with @OctopusEnergy and got quoted £3900, when we only use £170pm in winter!!

English

Urgent: It's predicted on 25 Feb it'll be announced the Energy Price Cap most homes (Eng, Scot, Wales) are on will rise 5-7% on 1 April (1)
Most cheapest fixes have been pulled, bar two, both on average over 6% cheaper than the current Cap (so 12% over likely Apr cap). Yet most comparison sites DON'T show em by default. Many'll rush to fix when the Cap rise is announced, yet by then fixes will almost certainly be far costlier.
Both fixes are listed on my MSE cheap energy club clubs.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub as it is always whole of market by default.
The reason they're not shown on other comparison sites is with one as its mainly only available direct (or MSE), the other because it doesn't pay comparison sites and most sites hide by default those that don't pay them (you have to click a button to add them in).
Yet its important to do a comparison because which is your cheapest depends on region and usage.

@Joeburrows90911 @kelvmackenzie In this instance it is a labour policy but yes 100% there is a lot of it’s this governments fault blah blah click baiting BS.
English

What makes me laugh is why is this labours issue? Yes they are in power now but they have not implemented everything yet from the day they got into power people have been blaming them for things 😂😂 I don’t follow labour or the conservatives however I understand if I take control of a company or country today it takes months and years to undo everything and get my changes in place, this situation is what’s wrong with this country not just keir starmer it has been the same for many prime ministers before him let’s hope he changes it

@MartinSLewis What’s the solution for those people that are unfortunately having to be high users for medical equipment, this will put more strain on them if not handled properly?

Lots of people saying "please do something about lowering the energy standing charges" So let me reassure you...
- You will hear me push hard on it in every interview I've done today (and almost every time I talk energy bills) to keep the pressure on.
- I've raised it with Ofgem publicly, privately and through submission. Its a case of shifting some fixed costs from standing charge to unit rate. It is do-able. Its done a consultation that should 'report in summer'
- I met the Sec of State for Energy and it was the number one issue I pushed. She wrote to Ofgem about it on the back.
- It was also amidst the top of my agenda, and things discussed, when I met Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
- I have told these two and other politicians, "if you want an easy electoral win promise to bring down the moral hazard of the standing charge".
- I have also tried to ensure vulnerable high users get special support if the standing charge is lowered (as that's important too - though that's Govt not Ofgem).
- And these are just the recent meetings, I've been doing this for two years or more.
- My team have also been doing similar in meetings.
Fingers crossed it works.

@England Didn’t know it was up to the English FA to allow such a disgusting defacing of our national flag

@MartinSLewis So is this valid for not new fully working items purchased on eBay or only New.
English

A eBay seller (trader not individual) just tried to fob me off an say I should go to the manufacturer, after I contacted it when the tech item I bought went faulty. This may be practical but isn't correct. I thought their response and my reply may be useful to others...
[I have anonymised some bits as not picking on an individual but explaining the concept]
eBay Trader: Hello Martin. Thank you for reaching out, your [ITEM] has come with warranty from [MANUFACTURER]. you will need to contact them for any warranty support
Thank you
My reply: Thank you. I am also speaking to [MANUFACTURER], and hopefully it will sort it. If not however I need to be plain your answer isn't correct under UK law.
My legal rights are with you as the retailer, and they are Statute based. The warranty is a contractual document. If the [ITEM] is faulty (which it is) then it is your legal obligation under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to deal with that. As it is more than a month after purchase - repair or replacement is the obligation. legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/…
I hope {MANUFACTURER] can fix it, but if not then I will be coming back to you to ask you to look after this.
Kind regards

PS no they don't know who I am (though they may work it out after the reply).

Some pleasant news to wake up to this morning. Suzuka until at least 2029! Always wondered though why there’s only 1 figure of 8 track that F1 races on? Not sure why more weren’t designed 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

@MartinSLewis @WealthLesson You are right it does hit a good target, couldn’t ITV do a longer show for release on ITV X so you can do some of the lower value stuff? Low hanging fruit with biggest impact on the hour and the rest for anyone that wants more. And then advertise it as such during the hour
English

@WealthLesson It really isnt dead. I have all social media channels. My website is top 10 UK news site. But nothing is more instantly powerful than prime time terrestrial telly.
It may not be what it was but no where are you reaching 2-3m UK viewers (in my case) in one go who stick with you
English

Aaaargh. Tearing my hair out right now (and if you've seen my hairline you'll know that's not an uncommon occurence) to work out how to put all the info I want into an ITV hour (46mins) tonight 8pm. I want to save you a shed loads on bills, but what goes in the graphics, and what doesn't. I could do a 3hr special!

From time to time, I realise just how lucky we are to be part of this niche little hobby we have. I currently have 6 simulators installed and could jump into any one of them and waste a full day just driving around!

@MartinSLewis @benhwhite My understanding is that AI can spot AI content if the creators are lazy and don’t run it through a few passes ironing out the standard type responses. Surely Meta and others can employ that to get content. Hope the governments do something to strengthen the law on identity theft

WARNING. THIS IS A SCAM BY CRIMINALS TRYING TO STEAL MONEY. PLS SHARE.
This is frightening, it's the first deep fake video scam I've seen with me in it. Govt & regulators must step up to stop big tech publishing such dangerous fakes. People'll lose money and it'll ruin lives.
