The world is lauding Pakistan for mediating a ceasefire through a war that could have unleashed the worst kind of catastrophe. Trump who spoke the language of ending the Iranian civilisation till last night is now speaking the language of peace. It is a sobering moment for India that now needs to really work on its foreign policy and instead of pleasing domestic actors needs to think of long term goals and not grandstanding in elections. Propaganda films might win us elections but not elevate our status as vishwaguru in world politics

Ceasefire is agreed for 2 weeks. US, Iran and Israel have all agreed to hold war for 2 weeks. Seems, good sense prevailed at last. Hoping for a lasting peace now across the world and improvement of life in ordinary citizens of whole World. In a first, Supreme Court allows passive euthanasia of man in vegetative state since 2013 I just read the news about Harish Rana. For more than 12 years, his family has been caring for him with immense dedication and emotional strength. I cannot even imagine what the patient and family must have gone through, emotionally, physically, and financially. I am of opinion that every such case should be allowed to 'Right to Die' with dignity. I have told my family that if it ever happens to me and I'm on life support system, ventilators, feeding tubes, machines with no realistic chance of recovery ( even recovery chance is 80%), then please allow me the right to die with dignity. What life I can live even if I come out of this? I have seen cases where due to emotions and society pressure, families suffer a lot hence we need to have a framework so that no one feels guilty and doctors and family do not get in legal trouble.
