If true, this could be quite telling about how the Orioles view Jordan Westburg's outlook. It's also a risk considering Holliday has played only 18 innings in his pro career at 3B. It's also adding another thing to Holliday's plate as he works his way back from a hamate injury.
Andy Kostka@afkostka

According to @benwag247 on the radio broadcast, Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday told Wagner that he’s slated to play third base as part of his rehab assignment tomorrow at Double-A Chesapeake. Holliday has mostly played second in his MLB career

@PigTownSports If you are not hitting consistently, you better be fielding your position. Mayo hasn't done that. There have been a lot of balls that he didn't play that weren't called errors too. At least Cowser can field above average.

@KenWeinmanSport I said it last night.. Coby Mayo has no right to be playing 3rd base at the MLB level. It's a matter of time every game when he will make a boneheaded play

Coby Mayo can’t play third base. I’m sorry but he didn’t field it cleanly and then uncorked a terrible throw to first. Orioles lose 4-3 in walk-off fashion

@KenWeinmanSport Your right, because he can't field. Period... look how many pitches followed that

@PigTownSports it's about time to have a serious discussion with him and drop him in the lineup to 8th or 9th. Then let's see if he responds

@kataltobelli @PigTownSports I am totally with you. Him joining will take the focus off the rest of the team... The can handle it. But no, we go get another scrap heap pitcher that gets rocked.

@PigTownSports Time to call Trevor Bauer. 1. We are in dire straits. 2. He will play for free (donate his league-minimum salary to The Orioles Charitable Foundation). 3. The backlash will give baseball fans a hot topic to discuss. 4. It will blow over when he pitches well.

@afkostka give Trevor Bauer a shot. These guys off the scrap heap are not helping. If anything, Bauer would rock the status Quo

The Orioles are on pace to suffer their fifth straight loss by five or more runs, which is the longest streak in franchise history

@PigTownSports Chris Davis last season was around 30.5%. He was getting run out of town. About time the press started to really put the heat on Gunnar. He needs to be accountable.

Blaze Alexander hits an RBI single to right field to score Weston Wilson and ties this game 1-1 between the Yankees and Orioles. Alexander stumbled after rounding first, though, and is tagged out on the bases

@PigTownSports 6 hits per game isn't going to cut it. Somehow we need to get more consistent with the AB's. Dang, the Astros had six hits in the 1st inning of game 2.

@SimplyAJ10 @Jim22Palmer @Orioles watch the documentary Fastball'. It's all about technology and where measurements were made. The technology has come a long way. While guys may be throwing harder, in my opinion, not 4-5 mph that announcers want you to believe. My opinion

We speak about Velo so much that I have a question. How hard did you throw @Jim22Palmer and can you explain to the younger generation about the hard throwers you’ve seen in your 60 plus years in baseball @Orioles

@PigTownSports The ball had to hit perfectly on the wall to richocet in that direction. 30+ years and I have never seen that. Crazy!

I only knew about this spot because I seen a kids trying to hide in it during the Little League Day walking around the field Never would think a ball could find its way in there But that's baseball

Craig Albernaz said this right field nook at Camden Yards is in play, although no one has seen it. Dylan Beavers picked it out for what would be Dustin Harris' triple. "That's something we're going to continue to look into, maybe have to change the ground rules," Albernaz said

@jcalvinmeyer have seen Cowser have 2 stretches in his career where it looked good. he and Mayo are bad.

Craig Albernaz when asked if he considered pinch hitting for Colton Cowser in the 9th inning: "No. Colton, he's our guy, and he has to figure it out how he wants to approach guys and what he's trying to feel. But with Colton at the plate, he's dangerous. He's a guy where, if he's not feeling great, he can still get one pitch and do damage on, and that's something where we feel very confident in."

@jcalvinmeyer it's about time we all rise up and blast this front office for even thinking Cowser will turn this around the the big league level. I am sick and tired of watching Cowser looking so inept! Furthermore, the O's and announcers making excuses for him.

The Orioles are tied for the third most strikeouts per game in MLB at 9.43 per game. Only the Rockies and Angels are striking out more often.

@jcalvinmeyer how long are we going to tolerate this nonsense. The worst part is that Beavers is sliding down that same slope. New coaches, same result. Sample size is large enough to know Cowser is not going to turn it around at the MLB level
