I had received some questions about President @realDonaldTrump's recent posts, and here are my thoughts:
I do not believe President Trump would knowingly depict himself as Jesus Christ—that would certainly be inappropriate. I’m thankful the President has made it very clear that this was not at all what he thought the AI-generated image was representing—he thought it was a doctor helping someone, and when he learned of the concerns, he immediately removed the post.
When I looked at the illustration, I didn’t jump to the same conclusion as some. There were no spiritual references—no halo, there were no crosses, no angels. It was a flag, soldiers, a nurse, fighter planes, eagles, the Statue of Liberty, and I think this is a lot to do about nothing. There is so much ill-intended speculation. I think his enemies are always foaming at the mouth at any possible opportunity to make him look bad.
And the illustration from someone else he reposted on Truth Social yesterday, I must say that I like the fact that this is a picture of Jesus whispering in his ear, or at least His hand on his shoulder, guiding him. We all need that—we all need to be listening to Jesus. Again, I think there is an attempt to spin this into something that it isn’t. Remember, President Trump didn’t draw this, he didn’t create it, he reposted it on his social media because he thought it was nice—I would have to agree.
I’m not a Catholic, I’m an evangelical, but I appreciate how President Trump has defended religious freedom for people of all faiths, including millions of evangelicals and Catholics in the U.S. and around the world. He is the most pro-Christian, pro-life president in my lifetime, and he doesn’t shy away from it. I would hope that the President and Pope Leo can meet at some point, and that the Pope would have the opportunity to thank the President for his efforts to protect religious liberty for Catholics and people of all faiths.
🚨 TARGET IS FORCING EMPLOYEES TO APPROACH EVERY SHOPPER - WHETHER THEY WANT IT OR NOT
Target just rolled out something called the 10–4 Policy.
At 10 feet, employees are expected to notice you, wave, and make eye contact.
At 4 feet, they are required to walk up to you and start a “warm conversation.”
Target says it’s about being welcoming, but they also admitted sales are down and they are in a race for your dollars this holiday season.
A marketing expert said the quiet part out loud. Teaching disgruntled employees how to act nice only guarantees awkward, forced, uncomfortable interactions that feel fake the second they happen.
Reporters tested it inside a Target. They smiled, made eye contact, and tried to spark the new policy. Nothing happened. No wave. No greeting. No required conversation.
One shopper summed it up perfectly: “If you have to tell someone to be nice, you need new people.”
Target wants scripted friendliness.
Most shoppers just want to get their stuff and go.
Does this policy make Target more welcoming or more uncomfortable?
@adalluch How about women are all different and want different things?! And women are capeable of determining that for themselves. It’s insulting to believe woman can’t make different choices without it being the result of propaganda!
Imagine the amount of propaganda it took to convince women that waking up like this is oppressive but waking up hangover and alone, or even worse, with a stranger, isn’t.
@ninadelaflores@Lauren_Alicee_@TonyLStewart If you are talking about little children still learning to read . I totally understand. There was a trend in education away from using phonics/ decoding to sound out an unknown word , and instead over relying on context clues or “meaning” to just make a guess at the word.
My MIL is a teacher and she told me they aren’t allowed to teach kids the concept of ‘context clues’ anymore.
Something about that is so sinister 😭 bc why they don’t want these kids putting 2 and 2 together?
@Watchman_motto “My kids will stay at home and save $ while working until they have a really good reason to leave home.”
How about “ they will have the option to …” you can’t and shouldn’t try to make adult children do exactly what you want, it’s their lives and their choices
Things I am changing generationally:
My kids will stay at home and save $ while working until they have a really good reason to leave home.
My property and wealth will pass on to my kids long before I die. It’s much better to give them a head start than to have them be middle aged before inheriting.
All of my kids will be forced to invest X/week. Non-negotiable. This may require a two hour conversation with a calculator.
The emphasis is on dynasty. They are working together as family to get ahead. I help them, they help each other. Money, prospects, network, etc.
Potential marriage partners must be vetted b me and my wife.
Nobody is going to rent property, ever.
I’ll never understand how Christian women pray for a painless birth… to the same God who cursed them with the pain in the first place. That level of cognitive dissonance is wild to me.
@creation247 You know what? I worked full time, made more than my husband.. AND our house was clean, home cooked delicious meals every night , everything for the family handled and the kids were well dressed and cared for and are now amazing adults!
