@drnimrod @techspence Love a good, this is going to be an alert isn’t it moment. Start typing an explanation in the teams chat and it’s a race between the plz explain and the explanation

If you are an IT admin and you are in charge of managing Active Directory, take a look at this tool. I've been recommending it for a while now.
Super great way to view delegations (and in my case find those that are insecure)
The tool is called ADeleg btw.
I wrote a wrapper for it called ADeleginator.

@UK_Daniel_Card More people need to be on the confidential “here is what we changed in our upcoming patches and suggestions on what to test” list and actually deploying to devices
I forgot its name but I had access through our premier support

@NathanMcNulty @naerchan I went from k12 straight to government. I feel I’m only experiencing the low pay, poor decisions and lack of appreciation now 🤣
English

@naerchan @harrisony Most ed tech vendors are that way... :(
The options are expensive and not that great, and blame gets passed to school IT who already has a hard enough job
I miss being able to help and make things better, but I don't miss the low pay, poor decisions, and lack of appreciation
English

@NathanMcNulty @naerchan Ahahahaha. I miss K-12 and dealing with incompetent SIS vendors.
I’m glad to hear it’s a universal thing
English

@naerchan I worked in K12 for a decade, and those SIS vendors have absolutely horrible security
That didn't matter as much when we only allowed access from on-prem, but then the vendors decided to force hosting it in their datacenters and call it SaaS, opening it up to the whole Internet
English

@NathanMcNulty Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager.
I miss that so much, oh man…I was a weapon with it

Microsoft operates the largest AD forests (plural) in the world
Primarily, enhancements to AD are not made for you, but you may benefit from them
AD is legacy for customers, just not yet for Microsoft
spencer@techspence
Should Active Directory be considered "legacy"?
English

@griffonboi Where and for how long did they boot you off for the drivers mandatory rest stop?
English

@NathanMcNulty I miss the era where tooling was generated by humans and not autogenerated from an API spec
English

@Xenoulis1 @IAMERICAbooted @NathanMcNulty @merill I assuming you’re not doing E8 compliance for funsies.
Get your CSAM to put you in contact with some local Microsoft security people.
Every gov aligned person I’ve encountered at MS has always been very helpful and have good knowledge of E8
English

Hey @IAMERICAbooted @NathanMcNulty @merill I am putting together a core high-level architecture for essential CAPs for a Entra ID tenant. I have put the design together below and wanted to see if I was missing anything and linked to the AU Essential Eight ISM controls.
