@JGGeneral Then they take the appropriate precautions. It shouldn't have been a one-size fits all solution. Like, there obviously a difference between, say golf/tennis & lacrosse or basketball

@harry__shepherd I played basketball at W&L and I am the advisor to the basketball team, so I have the same a priori bias, However, I don't let it cloud my judgment. I think you could have played tennis last spring. But what about faculty and staff who are at risk?

@harry__shepherd Watching congressional testimony is NOT reading primary literature. Congress people (from both parties) call on people to support their priors. Sorry to hear you only care about your own risk. As someone with a lung condition - Covid could kill me

@JGGeneral this, of course, is coming from someone who believes they wrongly had their senior year stripped from them, considering us students/athletes had 0 say in what happened, so I certainly have a pro-athletics bias.

@JGGeneral my point is this: I believe the side-effects of all these restraints, lockdowns, and the shuttering of social interaction will be far greater than the actual virus itself. I obviously want the best for this country, as do you, and there are just different ways to get there.

@JGGeneral I mean i just disagree with that. We can play sports, have in person classes, etc. now, but some just choose not to do so. The lockdowns had good intentions, but the unfortunate reality is they just dont work at scale

@harry__shepherd Harry, just because you can't get behind them for ideological reasons does not make them bad ideas. If we did what South Korea or New Zealand did back in January and February then we would be in class and we would be attending sporting events.

Since Princeton University is removing Woodrow Wilson's name from its buildings due to his racist thinking and policies, I think we should also repeal the Federal Income Tax and The Federal Reserve, as both acts were signed into law by Wilson. Letting either law stand is racist.
