The #tvdsb spent approximately $806,000 on salaries for Supervisor Paul Boniferro, Interim Director Bill Tucker and fired director Mark Fisher in 2025. What a joke! #onted #cdned #edchat

The new OLA Minor Team Folding & Redistribution Policy raises real questions. When a small group of players from a folded team have played together long-term but don’t meet roster minimums — why is separation the default solution? At a time when retention matters most, how does this strengthen the game? I’m not sure how this backs “growing the game.” If neighbouring centres don’t have enough numbers, the solution seems simple — allow them to combine and keep kids together. I’ve received multiple messages from OLA members. One said: “We’re trying to keep kids in lacrosse, not push them out over technicalities.” Another: “We’re already fighting numbers. Splitting these kids up guarantees some of them won’t come back.” And another: “These aren’t numbers on a spreadsheet. These are kids who just want to play with their friends. Grassroots lacrosse survives on relationships — not regulations. If five of these eight kids quit, what did this policy actually accomplish?” Retention should outweigh red tape. @OntarioLacrosse @LacrosseCanada #Lacrosse #Ontario #YouthSports

@lharmansports @LacrosseCanada I didn't know nearly enough to even begin to understand what happened, all I know is that there is some money involved and autonomous rule changes...

Per @RealUncleFrick, Brampton now has 4 picks in the top 10 in this years draft. 1st 4th 5th 8th @TheOJLL
Loose Mesh: The Lacrosse Podcast@LooseMeshPod

.@KW_JrA_Lacrosse & @BELacrosse complete a trade ahead of Wednesday’s draft. Big implications incoming. According to sources, these picks may not be the final move. More pieces could be in play for a Minto run. Is a goaltender the target? @TheOJLL #OJLL #MintoCup #Lacrosse

The first Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan were four members of the 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, who died on April 17, 2002, in a friendly-fire incident at Tarnak Farm. A U.S. F-16 pilot mistakenly bombed the Canadian troops during a night training exercise. The four soldiers—Private Nathan Lloyd Smith, Corporal Ainsworth Dyer, Sergeant Marc Daniel Léger, and Private Richard Green—were killed, while eight other Canadians were seriously injured in the tragedy.

@TheresaAFallon Everybody in the world trades with China and Canada signed a trade deal, not a blood pact or moral attestation. And it's awfully easy to be pure when you ignore the fact that Canada is fighting for its very existence against a fascist superpower.

Is this a 2-minute minor or a 5-minute major for slashing? Is it a lacrosse play by Ryan Terekeno?

I lived in Vancouver for 8 years and owe plenty of my NLL career to the Vancouver Warriors for the hospitality and the opportunities they provided for me. Still, the city has a significant sports culture issue. It's not a Warriors issue; it's a Vancouver issue.
