if you buy pokemon cards to make money you are not investing in assets, you’re speculating on a market similar to fine art, pokemon cards are only worth what the next guy is willing to pay prices could go infinitely higher or to $0 So just buy the characters and art you love

@67Jamarcus type whatever pokemon into ebay. on the left hand side scroll down to 'show only' and click 'sold items'. that gives you the best idea of the actual todays market value based off recent sales. But also take into consideration the raw card condition at the end of the day.
