You all are overthinking your app ideas. This app makes your Mac moan when you slap it -> it made $5,000 in 3 days. Just ship it.

Wouldn't it be wild if that "newfangled physics" actually let us link any two spots on Earth like walking from your couch straight out the front door? Imagine stepping through a portal at your local airport, and boom! you're instantly stepping out in LA, no flight, no traffic, no 8-hour haul. It's basically just connecting two places that feel super far apart, but in the grand scheme the "distance" isn't even that crazy in terms of time. If the laws of physics allow something like that, we could have people living in New York and working in LA or San Francisco come home for lunch, go back through the portal, and then back home before 6 PM. That would be wild. I do, however, think that if we figure out VR to the level of detail we experience in real life, that's where most people will end up. You'll be fully consumed by this virtual environment with no real reason to interact in the normal world.

I don’t know why everyone is saying AI will discover new physics Isn’t the physics we have now good enough? Don’t need no new fangled physics

Not to be confrontational, but what is the business plan behind selling genAI drawings, games, movies, music when your customers could ALSO use genAI to make their own?

This is quite interesting. Social platforms want to ban use of AI for content generation - e.g. X doesn't like bot posts and replies, YT asking to disclose if real person was filmed in the video, and now app platforms don't want to see vibe coded apps. Supply dramatically increased and there's not enough demand? or what is happening?

Apple has quietly halted App Store updates for popular AI "vibe-coding" applications most notably the $9 billion startup Replit and mobile app builder Vibecode. After months of pushback, Apple is reportedly demanding major UX changes. Replit is being asked to force its generated app previews to open in an external web browser rather than natively inside its app. Vibecode was told it must completely remove the ability to generate software specifically for Apple devices.

@ItsPinkGuy This is just the beginning. If this gets blindly accepted, it opens the door for even more AI being pushed into games without players even knowing and eventually, without us having any say in it.

It physically pains me that most people would rather use AI Slop to generate silly photos then actually sitting down and taking the time to photoshop goofy pictures themselves.

I just think that just because someone feels that way about something real doesn't mean others don't experience great feelings from creating or consuming AI-generated art. That's fine if others don't. But it is an experience for some. Idk man, I think people believe life is supposed to be a certain way, but life is actually the weirdest thing. nothing really makes sense. And we're just heavily attached to the idea of things being “the way they're supposed to be.”

Perhaps the question is not: What is art and what is not? Because that is subjective. But instead perhaps: How much effort and skill does it take to create said art? For instance: I’m not going to pretend that I’m more proud of my grok imagine 10 second clip (no matter how cool it looks) than I am of an entire technically written rap song that I wrote and recorded over a week and a half.

Every time angry artists attack someone for using AI, they act like they speak for all of us. I have been an artist all my life. I didn't appoint a spokesperson. Nobody gets to decide what is and isn't art.

🤯 acabo de crear esta canción de Jhayco con AI. probablemente me ahorré como $20,000 en estudio, producción y tiempo. el género urbano de Puerto Rico no está ready para esta conversación.

Did you know about the term "reference"? It's a huge part during the process of creating something, finding a good reference. Nothing is new, there is always a reference point. So yeah, is a great tool for that. You know how many times I saw people copying the same Zeuz tattoo portrait before the whole Ai thing? Countless numbers of time, and tht's just a small example. The same old boring angle over and over, no one said shit. No one gave credit to the original artist that did that first Zeuz side view portrait. Not every artist has the skill of just closing his eyes and come up with a master piece, that is actually not common, possible but not common. Artists have always borrowed, referenced, remixed, and reinterpreted. AI just made the part people were already doing harder to ignore

Before AI, viral videos required effort and creativity. Zach King became famous for short clips that look like real-life magic, using clever editing, camera angles, and precise timing to create seamless illusions.

Pretty impressed with the quality of Grok lately. Also really mind-blown by this crazy AI platform that can do songs in actual artists' voices. It's so wild 😂 I was just messing around with Grok and tried to create a little music video out of it before the credits expired. The song is with the voice of Rauw Alejandro, a reggaeton artist from Puerto Rico. But he never recorded the song. Lol
