@straceX I prefer this over RAII and over Zig's defer. That being said, the order is reversed, ideally you deinitialize in the reverse other you initialzied, in case there are ownership dependencies.

goto in C gets treated like a crime in most tutorials. the linux kernel uses it everywhere for error handling. when you need to clean up multiple resources, it’s often the simplest way to keep things correct.

@Mattlinn01 Gotta keep fighting the good fight of driver education. It’s frustrating how dealerships fail so often at this critical responsibility

Is anyone still using VSCode instead of switching fully to Claude Code, Cursor IDE, or OpenAI Codex? Or am I the only one?

@wenchodev @zuess05 This - what is right and what looks right are deceptively close. And getting closer by the day, which makes the problem less prevalent but scarier when it happens

@zuess05 The senior knows when Claude is wrong! A junior accepts the output without questioning it. A senior questions it, catches the edge cases, and knows when to throw it away 😉

I am actually curious. If junior devs are using Claude to write code at a senior level... And senior devs are using Claude to write code at a senior level... What exactly is the difference between the two roles right now, other than a $100k gap in salary?

@FutureAZA Not saying this is it by any measure, but this reminded me that hoping your customer is too dumb to understand value is a surprisingly common business model these days

Tesla entered the market in India with pricing I can only describe as aspirational. It seems they wanted to slow roll their entry to the world's most populous nation, but overshot the pricing by too much. Undercutting with YL allows them to try something different.
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

Model Y L unveiling event in India happened today. Orders are already open and deliveries start this Summer. Pricing for the Model Y L Premium AWD starts at 61,99,000 Indian Rupees (~$66,600 USD), which is interestingly about 9% cheaper than the smaller Model Y Premium RWD.

@ICannot_Enough Certify? There isn't a certification process for SAE that I'm aware of. "Oh, I wouldn't buy that chip, it isn't Moore's Law certified."

Tesla short seller predicts Tesla "will stop doing paid driverless rides" on May 29th, forgetting that his pinned post claims "Tesla Robotaxis won't be driverless for another 3 years". 🤣 x.com/BradMunchen/st… $TSLA $TSLAQ

@Troutslayer7272 @Automoto415792 I think they stop paid driverless rides, unless Musk is confident enough to self-certify FSD as a Level 4 ADS (he isn't). Then there'll be lots of complaints about why no one can get an unsupervised ride, and why Cybercabs aren't driving around. By Q3-end, The Realization™.

@FutureAZA For what it’s worth, they are likely trying to recover margins that are or are going to be lost on tariffs, and killing the frunk does help COGS (a little), but the delta cost of adding the frunk seems like 150% what it should be

@n_fantastik @ElectricEraTech 400kW liquid cooled cables are deployed in some locations already and we’ll definitely keep them coming! I love those stations in North California, they are in just such great quirky little mountain towns

@fidexcode The biggest benefit to me with any CLI tool is themat your control interface is identical regardless of application. You don’t have to move (between browser tabs or apps) to access something else you want to do - the CLI normalizes interaction (to an extent)

@CodeByNZ There are so many things you can do in Git, it’s impossible for the UI to capture them all, so being good with the CLI tool is valuable Plus if your dev flow already involves the terminal it’s just a second or two faster when you don’t have to leave it

When VS Code already has the Source Control feature, why do developers still use Git commands in the terminal for pushing, committing, or cloning repositories? 👀
