Remember the Weir millions? The lottery windfall that “funded the dream”… until it didn’t. 2011, Colin and Chris Weir from Largs, Scotland, won a record £161 million EuroMillions jackpot one of the biggest in UK history. Lifelong independence supporters, they poured millions into the SNP and the Yes Scotland campaign: Over £4.5 million directly to the SNP. At least £3.5 million to Yes Scotland making up the vast bulk of its funding in key periods. This was meant to deliver the big prize: Scottish independence. But Colin Weir grew increasingly unhappy. Reports emerged that he believed the funds weren’t being used as intended. Before his death in December 2019, Colin complained to the SNP and wanted his money back, as the SNP could not show him where his money had been spent, basically it disappeared into a black hole.

I still don’t understand why more people haven’t seriously pushed back against governments yet. Seeing what’s happening to society right now is honestly hard to believe

Millions did whatever Sturgeon told them during 'Covid' no matter how blatantly ludicrous. I wonder how they feel about that now? Doing what a politician demands that you to do is rarely a good idea and can often be catastrophic. But I guess I understand in this case - Sturgeon is definitely someone you can trust.

@davidicke The english hatred for her is puerile. All because no matter how "against the system" they pretend to be the idea of Scottish independence terrifies them. The mainstream media to the likes of you David all frothing at the mouth with bitterness. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Independence is inevitable.

I first met Nicola Sturgeon when she was health minister. I thought she was super impressive. After the Indy Referendum I thought she was the bees knees. During Covid I was so proud of her. Compared to Boris? What a woman. Boy do I feel like a dick.

Here is disgraced Former SNP FM Nicola Sturgeon in 2023 demanding independence for Scotland so that she can "eradicate poverty" because its Westminsters fault. Meanwhile her 'husband' was buying motorhomes, Jaguars, £3000 salt and pepper pots, Fortnum and Mason £2000 hampers and £3000 Mont Blanc pens with stolen money she claims to know SFA about.

“On multiple occasions, she was pictured with items that now appear to have been paid for with embezzled funds, including a luxury Frank Smythson bag. “One photo from March 2021 showed her clutching the luxury accessory outside their home on the edge of Glasgow, where Murrell’s £81,000 Jaguar I-Pace was in the driveway. “…insiders claimed she “sat in silence for hours” while being interviewed by fraud cops following her own arrest three years ago before being released without charge.” 🌐 archive.today/toxPa

Why is the media so lenient towards Sturgeon? Viciously judgmental towards Boris while no angel herself. Enjoyed exploiting Covid to score petty political points. Wrong about almost everything. Left Scotland the druggie capital of Europe. But, hey, she’s a progressive heroine!

A red card not given to a Celtic player later confirmed to be the wrong decision by the KMI Panel. A penalty not given to Hearts later to be confirmed as the wrong decision by the KMI Panel. A penalty given to Celtic later confirmed as the wrong decision by the KMI Panel. Any one of these decisions being gave correctly and Hearts are champions for the first time in 40 years. But a couple of apologies and everybody has to pretend it’s ok?? Country’s a laughing stock.

As I mentioned on X last week it was unusually cold for much of May in many parts of England, and after the post below I had a look on weather.com and discovered that the temperature I measured that day was about the same as in Tromsø in the Arctic Circle. The whole thing went uncommented on by the media. Whereas a few weeks previously when it was warm, the headlines were "Hotter than Athens today!" But now that we're about to have several days of unusually warm weather over the bank holiday weekend, suddenly weather maps in shades of beetroot and puce and apocalyptic warnings about the climate emergency are popping up everywhere. If you can't see that this is narrative pushing at its most blatant, you aren't paying close enough attention.

Just went out in the car to get the messages (Scottish readers will understand this). The temperature outside is 7.5degC. In mid-May. It's been like this best part of a week now. According to my friendly neighbourhood AI the average daytime temp in mid May this part of England is 16 to 17 degC Why is the media so silent about this unusually cold weather? If it was 9 degrees above normal it would be wall to wall hysteria.

Celtic fans run onto the pitch after their team wins the league against all odds and you would think the world is on the brink. Genocide in Gaza for over two years and nada. The reality is that they don't like to see people of an Irish Catholic migrant identity in Scotland on their feet, rather than on their knees. There will be Orange walks and loyalist parades all over Scotland this summer, and not a peep will be heard in protest. Fuck them.
