4 Stars – Solid Story with Room for a Bit More Polish Disclaimer: I read this book live on stream with the author's full permission, but this review reflects my honest, unfiltered thoughts. No compensation or bias influenced my opinion. Tellafrog: Part One opens with a fresh spin on a familiar premise - a hidden magical world existing alongside our own, unnoticed by most people. Set in the 1800s, the story follows Raileanu Tellafrog, a man who once possessed magical abilities but lost them years ago. He can still see and interact with the magical side of the world, yet he remains largely powerless within it. When his father falls mysteriously ill back in Texas while Raileanu is across the ocean in Austria, he’s pulled into a dangerous web of intrigue, dark magic, and family secrets. The journey home becomes far more than a simple reunion. Torin MacRath does a commendable job building a grounded, realistic world that blends true historical elements with subtle magic. The magic system feels restrained rather than all-powerful, which helps the story stay believable. That said, I would have liked to see the costs and downsides of magic explored a little more deeply to give it even greater balance and weight. The narrative shifts between several points of view, but these changes never confuse the main storyline. The characters are interesting, though many could benefit from richer backstory to make them feel even more fleshed out. There are also a handful of small typos and punctuation issues scattered throughout, but nothing that seriously pulls you out of the story. Overall, Tellafrog is an engaging and compelling read with a strong premise and steady momentum that carries you to the end. It’s suitable for most ages (YA and up) and makes for a very enjoyable addition to any fantasy bookshelf. While it could use a bit more polish, this is still a very good debut for the series. I’d encourage you to give Tellafrog a chance - you won’t regret picking it up.

For the next few hours, I'll be working on shoutouts for Veteran accounts. I like to focus on smaller accounts. So for this round: Less than 2,000 followers. Reply with where you went to Basic/Boot and I'll get to it!

A California news team finds a left-wing group, “Build a Better California,” paying homeless people $5 a signature to sign petitions for ballot measures using other people’s names. This transpired in the Tenderloin area of San Francisco. The man became violent when the reporter asked about the petitions on the hood of his car. He then said the reporter was violating his privacy rights when the man had the petitions on the dashboard of the car where they could be seen through the windshield. The ballot measure would block government audits and also block a billionaires tax. Now why would the left want to do that?

🚨ARLINGTON, TEXAS🚨Mayor Jim Ross, running for re-election, has a history of praising Islam and Islamic holidays. A past video shows him celebrating “Eid al-Adha.” He recently held a campaign event with 200 Muslims. Why are Republicans supporting Ross? Follow: @Carlos__Turcios

Five teaching hospitals in Texas - including Houston Methodist - require all students to get a Covid shot in order to do rotations at their hospital. I will write a medical exemption for any student in Texas facing this mandate - free of charge. Email frontdesk@breathemd.org. If they deny my exemption, I will help you find a lawyer and raise money to sue them. mRNA shots are not safe, not effective, and no one should be injecting them into their body.

Bill Gates is calling for "biometric identification" for all Americans so they can "fully participate with the economy." Gates is also creating "Digital Public Infrastructure" to "connect society" and combat climate change. Would you sign up for biometric Digital ID? 💻
