During each of the three major rallies, long-term holders (LTH) consistently built up their positions before strong growth. The first time this happened was around $28K: the increase in LTH share relative to STH over 1-2 months set the stage for a breakout to $60K. The second time, similar accumulation unfolded at $60K within the consolidation phase and provided the momentum for a rise to $100K. Today, at the $100K mark, we again see sustained growth in the LTH/STH ratio: this accumulation phase could last 4-8 weeks, after which, by analogy with previous cycles, a powerful upward reversal is likely. If we apply a more conservative multiplier of ×1.6 to the current price, the next rally target lies in the range of $160K.

Over the past 24 hours, Short-Term Holders have been selling an average of around 21K BTC via centralized exchanges (CEX), which is below the historical average level of selling pressure. This suggests that short-term holders are currently in a state of relative calm that is, they are not rushing to lock in profits en masse despite Bitcoin’s price appreciation. The next psychological milestone for many market participants will be the $120K level. As the price approaches this boundary, profit-taking activity is likely to pick up such reactions have been repeatedly observed whenever round-number price levels are reached.
