This does nothing to stop the players who continuously drop down to play with their friends in lower ranks. I had an obvious SSL ... I mean I know a few "bubble players" really well and he was just as good as they are -- and playing in diamond 2. Plenty of other GC level talent. You guys will never do anything meaningful to smuf accounts. This is obvious lip service. Why aren't the accounts banned? You don't want to acknowledge that most of the smurfs intentionally STAY In the mid-ranks to play with their friends and shit all over people because it affects how many active players you can report to your advertisers.. Epic is literally pulling a "If we pretend the smurfs aren't there we can't be accused of fraud by sponsors who are overpaying us" card.

Online play was on it's way out for who? The top 0.01% of the player base? Bakkesmod isn't something i use to skin my car.. It's what I use to get the first person replays, it's what i use to automatically upload my replays to ballchasing.gg it's what i use for a lot of things.... i don't care about the cosmetics. Getting rid of bakkesmod will not eliminate cheating in rocket league either way, and I think it's absolutely WILD that people actually think it's going to change anything. I'm sorry? Did the bots suck to play against? Guess all the high ranked players got to feel like mid-rank players feel every day when top 1% players smurf all day in mid ranks. It's well over 30% of games at this point, and this has been objectively proven. There's no mention of getting rid of smurfing, because that would mean epic would have to admit they know it's a problem, and that would mean they would have to admit the number of active players they're sellilng to advertisers is false... They turn a blind eye because they make more money from it and it's basically fraud. Just like peddling this idea that getting rid of bakkesmod will fix cheating because people used bakkesmod as a vector to inject more stuff into the game.. They already have other ways to do this, they always have, and giving up bakkesmod wiill not change it AT ALL. It will fix nothing. framing it as "a way to get alpha boost when you don't own it" really cheapens the entire value that bakkesmod provided to the community. I can't believe people who are actually good at this game are so entirely braindead that they believe it for a second.

The use of Bakkesmod during online play might be over, but honestly it's such a non issue when you consider that online play was already on its last legs without this change. I'm just relieved that I will have the ability to use Bakkes offline for video content still 🙏

Swerving or abruptly stopping in this situation would be far more dangerous. This is why you're not supposed to swerve if a deer jumps in front of you, because your brain isn't fast enough to recognize if you're going to hit something in the other lane.. or if you'll lose control of the car. Plenty of valid complaints about FSD but t his is insanely stupid.

Watch @Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5 ignore a trash can falling from a vehicle in front and crash into it without even trying to slow down. @ElonMusk if Tesla self-driving is so “amazing” why doesn’t it react to such an obvious hazard?

@elonmusk Yeah except you keep sending FW updates down that are bricking FSD computerse and because FSD Only has a ~15% take rate, most people affected won't know their FSD computers are fried until the car is out of warranty. ahem

When My HW3 computer died from a FIRMWARE UPDATE ... both the main and redundant systems failed at the exact same time, multiple times, while going around corners, with FSD engaged. Luckily, I have a lot of experience driving on tracks or it would have been *BAD* nice "redundancy" It was also pretty shitty for the service center to lie to me twice about it, and then have another service center tell me the truth "but we can't fix it now because it will just cause the same issue" I hope the HW4 redundancy is better than whatever HW3 is using because it was anything but.

Our AI4 chip is built with full fail-over redundancy. That means two computers run in parallel and keep checking each other, so if one has a problem, the other can take over instantly. This chip powers both FSD in our vehicles & @Tesla_Optimus

@elonmusk Then why do you care about having a trillion dollars if the AI is going to make everyone super wealthy? Just put all of your assets into the AI that will make everyone rich beyond the richest people in the world!
