@Aria_Babu This! It's also why my straight male hairdresser took barely half an inch off during my cut last night 😂

Most women underrate how much men care about looks. And when they do try to get more attractive they waste time and effort on tanning, contouring their face, getting their nails done. Instead, almost everyone could be considered attractive if they lost weight, grew their hair long, and cleared up their skin. All these things are within your control. There's other basic advice that should be obvious. Wear makeup everyday and go for a youthful, dewy look. Remove your body hair. Ditch your glasses. For the extreme looksmaxxers, focus on your body. Your face is probably fine and hard to change. Get a boob job, precisely control your weight, and do hourglass-enhancing exercises. You are no longer stuck with the looks God gave you. ariababu.co.uk/p/get-sexier

we live in age of great moral panics about things that don’t matter at all and zero moral outrage over some of the most egregious societal sins we’ve ever seen

Community notes is such a good feature. Only shows up when people who usually disagree with each other agree on a note. Imagine legacy media had the guts to implement a system like this.

St Patrick’s Day is a good day to remind Americans that the Irish - despite being a country of only 5.2 million - now invest more here than any other country… Thanks for the great write up, @mchalfant16

Saint Patrick, a Roman Brit, was a not just a hero of the faith, but also of western civilization. Without his successful evangelization of the Irish pagans, the precious biblical texts that spread all over Europe would have been destroyed by Viking invaders. Because as the Viking marauders were sacking monasteries all over England, those precious texts were preserved in remote Ireland. He was also one of the first people in recorded history to explicitly condemn slavery. It was an accepted fact in the pre-Christian world. It took Christian ethics to destroy that practice and it started with Patrick. ALL Christians should celebrate his day but so should everyone who values western civilization! So don’t miss your chance tomorrow!

Publicly traded companies in Britain must have, or “explain to the regulator” why they do not have: - A minimum of 40% women on their board of directors - A woman CEO, chairman of the board, CFO and/or Senior Independent Director - A board member who is an ethnic minority Why is anybody confused about why so few companies want to list here and so few promising startups scale up here? Would you agree to put people in charge of your company on the basis of their sex or race in order to meet a diversity quota? These rules were brought in by the Conservative Party in 2022, BTW.

The House of Lords is not designed to be a democratic chamber. It is best understood as a constitutional mechanism to bind the most powerful actors in the realm to the governance of the realm. Landed aristocracy were there because they controlled land, raised armies, and could destabilise the country if excluded from its governance. It was influence in exchange for accountability. Billionaires already exercise enormous power. Look how much influence one billionaire moving to Dubai can have on fiscal policy. The question is whether they do so with any formal obligation to the polity, or whether they remain entirely outside it. I think the former makes more sense.

Controversial opinion: if you are British born, and become a billionaire, you should automatically become a member of the House of Lords.
