@DrTerryQuinn Very interesting presentation this morning. Highlighting that Cog Ax is dynamic and needs to be person centred to capture pre stroke cognition.

Thanks to #StrokeCog_SCTNI for letting me share thoughts on assessing post #stroke cognition. Take homes: Think about how the person was before the stroke. There is no perfect screening tool. Post stroke cognition is dynamic and trajectory is more important than a one off test.

SOS day2: SSNAP estimates suicide 5.2 times more common after stroke than general population; OT need to use mental health training to provide psychological support after stroke; meaningful occupation to reconnect & help mood is a valuable way to spend therapy sessions @RCOT_NP
