Being a Major League Baseball player is extremely hard. You have to be ultra competitive to the point where you sit up till 3 am thinking about what you did wrong, You hyper focus on your failures so the next day you achieve those successes. I use to tell myself that everyone hates me and they will never cheer for me. I did this to create a false reality so I could perform at an extreme high level. I would then tell myself that I’ll be the best pitcher in the world… it only lasted about 2 years until I realized I was living outside of who I wanted to truly become.
