@cenewman0 @evornithology I'm an Asst prof, Evo eco biologist by trade but my position is in an interdisciplinary aquatic resources program. Until my cross appt in the bio dept goes through I'm harder to find lol

@hdpenney @evornithology Technically I'm not even in the field anymore (my new job as a data scientist is in neurobiology!) so I don't complain too much. I understand if they prefer reviewers active in evol. I try to keep up by reading papers but it's not the same.

Although I have not been an editor yet, my sense is that the situation is not quite this dire in EEB. Are AEs at EEB/organismal journals regularly sending out 15+ review requests? Please say no. 😬

I spent my Friday evening planning out next week's lectures. Today I realized that Im not covering this topic until late Nov and so now have to restart lecture prep. This is good for future me who has less to do in Nov. But present me is trying to write an NSERC DG so this sucks
