According to the company: • The vehicle in question was fully E20 compatible, as disclosed in the owner’s manual. • Evidence of fuel contamination was found in the fuel collected from the customer’s vehicle. • Several relevant facts were not reflected in the Commission’s order. • Maruti Suzuki will challenge the order before the appropriate higher forum. If these facts are borne out on appeal, the Commission appears to have erred in its judgment. Consumer protection is vital, but judicial decisions must also be grounded in the complete factual record and technical evidence.
