@willdepue problem is that there is cheap food, its just awful for you and capitalized on getting you addicted

@ScottMescu6250 @3rdSquadCaptain @NotSubmissions2 @_h2rtkos @classfrenemy but call back to the original post, idk if i’d recommend ketchup on popcorn that doesn’t sound very good
English

@heatheryuann @3rdSquadCaptain @NotSubmissions2 @_h2rtkos @classfrenemy I am. If one wants vinegar they ask for vinegar. Nobody asks for ketchup because they want vinegar. ‘Something acidic’ would also include mustard, relish etc. Still, a whole different experience to coating chips with vinegar.
English

@ScottMescu6250 @3rdSquadCaptain @NotSubmissions2 @_h2rtkos @classfrenemy ah this explains a lot. i apologize for generalizing the vinegar on chips experience, i obviously don’t have as much experience as you. we americans don’t really fathom vinegar on chips so in our minds ketchup is our acidity answer lol
English

@ScottMescu6250 @3rdSquadCaptain @NotSubmissions2 @_h2rtkos @classfrenemy may i ask if you’re british
English

@3rdSquadCaptain @heatheryuann @NotSubmissions2 @_h2rtkos @classfrenemy No it doesn’t. Vinegar on chips isn’t sweet, it’s sour. The ‘sweetness’ comes from the carbs in the chips. Ketchup is definitely sweet, and nobody who wants vinegar on their chips asks for ketchup, they ask for vinegar, because it’s a whole different sensation to having ketchup.
English

@ScottMescu6250 @3rdSquadCaptain @NotSubmissions2 @_h2rtkos @classfrenemy i think more accurately ppl ask for ketchup bc they want something acidic and slightly sweet which both tomato and vinegar provide. i think the original argument is moreso that americans also enjoy acidic carbs just delivered via vinegary sugary tomato sauce lol
English

@3rdSquadCaptain @NotSubmissions2 @_h2rtkos @heatheryuann @classfrenemy Sure but if you want vinegar and chips you ask for that, nobody asks for ketchup because they want vinegar.
English

@violishh @classfrenemy LOL i thought that when i replied i was like am i actually cancelling out my ethos here
English

@heatheryuann @classfrenemy British people eating it actually lessens your case (but this is one time they’re right)
English

@_h2rtkos @classfrenemy i feel like butter makes sense on baguette style sandwiches but with plain old soft white bread no
English

@heatheryuann @classfrenemy is this me learning americans don't put vinegar on their chips?? i only just got my head round the fact they don't butter their sandwiches
English

@batboysagogo @_h2rtkos @classfrenemy do … brit’s not eat tartar sauce with their fish & chips? 😭 i thought this was standard
English

@_h2rtkos @heatheryuann @classfrenemy PMO cuz some US restaurants have fish&chips BUT THEY GIVE YOU TARTAR SAUCE INSTEAD OF MALT VINEGAR!
It should be illegal!
English

@arb8020 in the process of building the habit to consistently be present online, i catch myself scrutinizing everyday moments as content ops rather than just everyday moments to experience. i've yet to figure out how/when to code switch
English

@heatheryuann > it feels like increasing legible surface area online means being less present in real life
can u elaborate on the observed tension here
English

@Theholisticpsyc self isolation feels like growth at first, but only because it feigns a sense of control in an undeniably chaotic world through avoidance over acceptance
English

@aadilpickle i agree with 16 year old aadil - maybe more precisely i'm posing the energy/time tradeoff of maintaining online parasocial relationships over irl friendships/experiences
English

@itsjessyin i'm also a dancer and moving to nyc soon! if you're in town this sunday, i host a weekly home bakeshop/cafe and would love to meet you! DM me :))
