For all the wild outcomes in these playoffs, the two teams that have qualified for the LCS have the #1 and #3 highest payrolls in the sport. The team with the #2 highest payroll plays a home game where they could qualify tomorrow night.

So not a total shock this happened. Blame Romaine Quinn for this first, not WEC.

About 700 voters in NW Wisconsin had the wrong Assembly race on their ballot. I talked to Scott Harbridge, one of the GOP candidates whose race should've been on ballots in Summit. While the Douglas Co. Clerk admits error, he says @WI_Elections should've caught the mistake.

COURT NEWS: A split Wisconsin Supreme Court rejected a request by GOP lawmakers to reconsider its ruling throwing out Republican-drawn legislative districts and pausing the redistricting suit. The 4-3 order didn't include an explanation of the court's decision.

AB 415 needs safeguards and bipartisan buy in and trust from citizens or it won't succeed. This bill and the process are not trustworthy.

For @journalsentinel today: I searched for nonpartisan redistricting legislation in every session as far back as 1995. I found that Republicans' redistricting plan is most similar to a version Democrats introduced in 2003, 2013, 2015 and 2017. jsonline.com/story/news/pol…

@hopekarnopp @journalsentinel Vos could then just ram through his partisan voting maps because AB 415 permits "unlimited" votes to reject the nonpartisan LRB produced maps. In Iowa, two votes on the nonpartisan maps and then one on amended maps if it ever goes there. It never had in 43 years.

@hopekarnopp @journalsentinel The end game and how the Legislature can amend and vote on the redistricting plan is everything. In the Vos proposal, once the January 31st deadline for adopting a nonpartisan plan is reached and there has been no agreement, what happens? Vos's bill doesn't say.
