One of the APC leaders in Bayeku, Ikorodu where my farm is located recently died. He was sharing rice to their supporters when he collapsed. To rush him to the Ikorodu General Hospital was a problem due to the bad road network between Bayeku and Igbogbo. When they finally made it to the hospital, they were informed that doctors were on strike. Na so baba take go.

When it comes to religious beliefs and refusing bl00d transfusion, I’ve experienced it firsthand. I once had a Jehovah’s Witness patient who urgently needed a blood transfusion due to an emergency surgery. Her husband strongly opposed it, insisting that it was “the will of God.” Sadly, the woman l0..st her life. Her family later used the police to pick up the husband for what he did. So, there is nothing anyone can say to Aunty Esther or her family that will easily change their minds. The painful truth is that they may only reconsider when it’s no longer needed. 💔😭💔 Aunty Esther’s cancer has already spread (metastasised), and it continues to spread rapidly. Chemotherapy alone is already a major battl€. Trying to explore alternative options without blood transfusion will come with serious complications. The more time wasted, the faster the spread and the higher the risk of severe complications. But again, you cannot go against a patient’s wishes. I’m genuinely glad Wizarab and Dr. Sina stepped away from the case, because staying involved could put them at risk professionally. Stepping down was the safest and most responsible decision. I’ll say it again: it will take nothing short of a miracle for her or the church to change their stance. Many of us have seen cases like this where the patient ends up being discharged because they refuse to cooperate with essential treatment. At this point, the only thing we can do is pray for her and ask for God’s mercy. Thank you to everyone who has tried in their own way to help and support her. God bless you all.
