I liked it when free agency opened at midnight eastern time and GMs and coaches were outside players' homes knocking on the door at 12:01 AM ET.
Brought a weirdness to the whole process. And it was the NBA diehards who were up late living through the whole deal.

The demise of men's hats decades ago was a very unfortunate development in menswear. It was so pointless ultimately. The real tragic part is that today, unless you are over 65 or extremely unique, you basically just can't really wear a hat without it reading as a costume.
