Adam Bandt talked at the Chinese Australian Forum’s Annual Dinner. He said the economy shld serve the lives of everyday ppl. A round of applause when he said the Green opposed AUKUS. He said we need China and the UN to solve the issues together not giving a blank cheque to US.

Just a small sample of the casual #racism I sometimes cop as an Arab Australian journalist 🤌🏽 Notice how polite I was to him before he declared immigrants are the root of all problems. I was covering a hit and run by the way…but I guess the culprit is always “immigrants”.

I have been following coverage of the Zhiling case for over 20 years. For the same reason generations of Chinese ppl around the world won’t let it go- if her prestigious family - grandpa a friend of former president Jiang - had influenced the case until no longer prosecutable.

Reported to @qanta crews. Other passengers showed empathy, saying he was abusive and rude. One gentleman said his behaviour was appalling and reported his seat. Against violence toward women, this verbal insult should be called off.

I was yelled “lazy bitch” by this male passenger who accused me for “knocking down” his table (I had no idea what happened!) & keeping others waiting while he was the one blocking the aisle when he could easily pick up his own table! Unbelievable manner Mr Privilege!
