It's true that the relationship with my Ss is the heart of my job. I’m just not sure how to build these relationships while behind a screen. I'm beginning to feel like the Wizard Of Oz. Believe me, I’m no great wizard. Not online. But in real life, in my classroom, I kind of am.

I came to a realization today. I have been trying to simulate my real life classroom, but nothing can take the place of that. No Zoom. No Breakout Room. No Jamboard. No Peardeck or Nearpod will come close to it.

Reader beware. The following is a rant. I hate online school so much. These are directions on one of my slides this week. “Reread your quickwrites. Choose your favorite one that you would like to revise and edit to create a final draft. Share your final draft on this padlet.”
