Turns out Valentine’s (kids) cards are sold out. A dad was frantically searching the aisles, says to me “my daughter’s going to be so sad!” I point him to the craft aisle & say, perfect, you can help her cut paper hearts & decorate! The biggest smile spread over his face. 💕🥰

@Sporkfighter1 @AdrienneBranden Same. I had to retire COVID-19 did me in both physically/mentally. Not to mention the politically divided school. I was fully aware I wasn’t ok I thought I might die ( no exaggeration ) and I was very healthy until covid. I resigned spring break and knew my life depended on it

@FletcherRalph And since retiring in October 2020, I must say that reading Marshfield Dreams with my 6th graders is something that I miss the most.

@FletcherRalph You can rest assured that you have accomplished just that. Over the years, your books have inspired my students to write stories that enable them, for the first time in their lives, to see themselves as writers.
