In November 2023, they killed Reem Nabhan “Soul of the Soul.” We all mourned her death and fell in love with the grandfather. In December 2023, they assassinated Refaat and the whole world mourned him and his family. In January 2024, they killed Hind Rajab and her family in their car and then the two paramedics who hurried to rescue them. The whole world mourned the new tragedy. In April 2024, the killed Refaat’s daughter, her husband, and their first child. In July 2024, they assassinated journalist Ismael Al-Ghoul. We all mourned his death. In August 2024, they killed twins Asser and Ayssel and their mother as Mohammad, the father registered the twins’ births. In October 2024, we all watched Sha’ban Al-Dalou burn alive in his tent. Our hearts burnt. This month, the killed Khaled Nabhan “The Soul.” Everyone cried for him. We lost so much. And then they assassinated Ayman Al-Jidi, along with 4 other journalists, as he awaited the birth of his child. We all wish we were never born. And now, we are all writing about Dr. Hussam Abu Safiyyah. We fear for him. Every time we mourn someone, they commit a new atrocity to the extent that we stop talking about the atrocities and losses before. Let’s not stop talking about everyone, everything.

At the beginning of this month, I heard directly from Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya calling in from Gaza during a @docstopgenocide meeting. He spoke about the conditions in northern Gaza and the medical cases he and his team were seeing at Kamal Adwan Hospital. Including witnessing and experiencing targeted and deliberate attacks on civilians and many healthcare workers.
