@WilliamRBR That’s it, the initial promos were all “we’re the best” and I’m like, I don’t know who you are 😬 my only gripe with the Omega v Hangman storyline was the FTR influence on Page as I just didn’t get it.

@hellfirehendy I think that was a big factor. I think there was slight over reliance on fans being familiar with their work in NXT, which was a run that ended in 2017 and a good chunk of the AEW audience just didn't have that first hand familiarity with them.

This reign honestly shouldn't have happened. They leapfrogged a lot of far more worthy teams to play catalyst to the Kenny and Hangman split and I just feel like the AEW audience wasn't invested in them yet the way they are today.

Its weird. I thought the Max promo was incredible, but also confirmed this situation as at least partial work, and once that happened, and TK started working the boys, this entire thing became way less interesting to follow and every subsequent headline has been met with apathy
