Seems to be a correlation between people dedicating their prime years to 996ing niche B2B SaaS and people obsessed with healthmaxxing because they really desperately need to live way longer because there has to be more to life than this.

i really love what i'm doing now - essentially imagining solutions to problems and trying to will them into existence most of the products do not make it to prod and thats ok the problems remain, and the reasoning about solutions go with me wherever i go

work slack is just a stream of ai-generated messages now, agreeing with each other, but missing both base case and high level operational concerns interesting, but weird i have some ideas

@svpino I don’t get why everyone’s so concerned. You’ve never taken over a disaster codebase you didn’t write? The only difference is AI’s “bad code” is still better than the absolute mess I used to clean up from humans.

I've handed out my own stickers at Microsoft and Google's parties at Blackhat. I've been handed non-Microsoft and non-Google stickers by other people at both as well. I've said it would be different if Akamai turned up and started handing out Akamai branded swag. Those are direct competitors. As for if I'm biased, of course I'm biased. Everyone is. I'm presenting my opinion on whether this should qualify as a kickable offense, and also correcting the swathes of misinformation going around.

I've reached a point in my engineering career where I just dont care anymore I used to want to solve complex problems, design new systems, learn new architecture etc. But something clicked in my brain last year and I just don't give a fuck like zero drive to keep doing this

I'm not. I'm legitimately confused why giving out a band sticker and a drink protector, at a security convention party, should be considered a kickable offense. Stickers at these events get passed out all the time. When alcoholic drinks are being served in open containers, drink protectors can save people from getting drugged.
