Love seeing “Abaxx Markets” and “Abaxx Exchange” branding on Jeff’s market takes while on CNBC Europe today!
Jeffrey Currie 🆔++@CommodMkt

Thank you to @SquawkBoxEurope for inviting me on this morning to discuss the structural shifts reshaping commodities and energy markets, as well as a deeper dive into AI and the problems we face with the commodities that fuel it. A lot covered off but a pleasure as always Steve Sedgwick and co: cnb.cx/4fpHZsb

Commodity market guru Jeff Currie on the tech-energy relationship: "The only 2 industries that matter to the world are tech and energy. You got to turn on the lights, and you got to innovate. So, all we do is rotate between those 2 sectors." IT'S TIME TO ROTATE INTO ENERGY.

Software Factory is a multi-player control plane. Manage your agents, empower your colleagues. It’s the new way for Enterprises to build new software or replace/migrate old software. Try it here: 8090.ai

@MaxTynan on the gap nobody else is solving. AI coding tools are single-player by design. One developer, one repo, one prompt. Enterprise software is a team sport. Software Factory is the multiplayer layer. Work Orders run inside Cursor, VS Code, or Claude Code through MCP. Requirements, Blueprints, and Tests stay connected in the Knowledge Graph. Engineers keep their IDE. The team gets a system around it.

“There's nobody better on planet Earth than Elon at converting electrons to tokens. He was building EWS all along.” - Brad Gerstner on how becoming a hyperscaler impacts SpaceX’s outlook @altcap on @elonmusk's cloud strategy: “It's a critically important evolution to the story. SpaceX has this five-layer cake: launch, connectivity, compute, hyperscalers, space datacenters, and then applications and models, and then other bets. And now we see the ace card that Elon's playing. He was building EWS all along, and so I estimate that this is going to generate, in this year, an incremental $4 to $5B of revenue on top of what analysts estimate is in the mid-20s. That's a material amount of incremental revenue to offset the cost of the investments that he's made here, and that will subsidize, to Chamath's point, all that he's investing to build the next generation of Grok. Remember, too, that he has three facilities, Colossus, Macro Hard, and Macro Harder. 1.2 gigawatts in Macro Hard and Macro Harder in Blackwell. So he's given the one that's kind of less connected, H100's great for inference, to Anthropic. He's monetizing it in a big way. It's terrific for Anthropic, and it solves what I think was the biggest question in the valuation story, which is what if he spends ahead of xAI's revenue? It takes the pressure off xAI delivering immediate revenue. Now he becomes an immediate competitor in the hyperscalers. I don't think this is the last announcement. And I would just say finally, everybody has talked about how we don't have enough power, how we don't have enough compute, how the revenues would not show up this year, but the chaos that is American capitalism somehow finds a way.”

The honest secret of running AI agents inside a real company is this: the model is not the bottleneck anymore. The bottleneck is what happens when the agent is wrong. I run agents across several of my companies. They sort emails, manage dashboards, block bots on X, draft replies, summarize calls. The first version is always magical. The tenth version is where you learn the real lessons. The model is rarely the problem. The problem is that nothing in the stack tells you, in production, that the agent quietly drifted. It does not crash. It does not error. It just becomes slowly worse at the job, and three weeks later you realize half of its outputs are subtly wrong. What you actually need is unglamorous: evals you trust, logs you can search, the ability to roll a single agent back to last week, and a human review queue for anything that touches money, legal text or a customer. Most teams skip all four because they are not as fun as a new model. The companies that win with agents will not be the ones with the smartest model. They will be the ones whose engineers treat agents like junior employees with bad memory and worse judgment, and build the supervision around them accordingly. Intelligence is cheap now. Accountability is what will be priced.

@JoshCrumb @FlaneurCapital What about jumping on some tech/AI podcasts? I think that would resonate with a different crowd that has keen interest in the topic/stuff you guys are building.

This will be a shot herd round the world, the world’s first T+0 institutional collateral instrument on traditional finance rails, no cartoon finance naming conventions, no open surveillance ledgers to give away proprietary positions, and no new laws required with new solvency gaps opened between legal jurisdictions. Btw, couldn’t have taken this commercialization step so quickly without Leah. She’s a force of nature. Great work Leah, Jeff (Ice T), Paris, JD and team. #MayDays $ABXX #29ers

Big day! Watching Digital Title move from concept into a commercial framework with Alta is really exciting. The piece I’m most proud of is the structure itself: a Singapore VCC (a regulated open-ended fund vehicle, similar in concept to a mutual fund) with MMF shares designed to function as T+0 collateral at Abaxx Clearing (subject to regulatory approval), by utilizing full ID++ identity attribution to create a secure evidence trail, and with yield continuing to accrue throughout (as a vehicle sweetener for our clients). Integrating our digital title tech into a traditional, regulated fund vehicle in an advanced capital market jurisdiction is the part that’s quietly novel, and a clear sign this can work within TradFi rails. Having spent years on the fund manager side, I have a clear view of what makes a good partner here, and Alta brings it. A meaningful milestone for Abaxx and for the technology behind digital title…. And now back to the grindstone!

If your AI stack is single player, you’re driving into a brick wall. Our Software Factory is collaborative and multi-player at every stage and by design. As you build complex enterprise workflows, this is a P0.
8090@8090_Factory

month 3: your Cursor rollout looks like a win. month 9: your auditor asks about a payment retry rule that changed in March. the engineer who wrote the prompt is on PTO. the AI has no memory of why. your AI is alone at the table. The AI Single-Player Problem.

Yes, when they get into the “problems still to be solved” part of every visionary conversation, it’s what Agents++ does that they start talking about for agent identity and accountability in the theoretical sense. @abaxx_labs solves a major gap in AI, just need to get it out there to the AI enterprise builders

A lot of mine faces opened up and we have people on all of them. An interesting mix of imminent and longer term milestones here (most look like they’re within the next ~12mo though), directionally correct. Not enough on LNG, MarketOS or Agents++ though, we got more mucking from those faces. Plan to make the ~45 day period between calls feel like a six month later update on progress. Anyway, we still cookin’, meltin’ GPUs #MayDays Human capital >> Financial Capital #29ers $ABXX
