@danorlovsky7 Funny how nobody @espn brings up how well @jjmccarthy09 played his last 4 games while being injured

Jameson Williams was barely even a part of the offense his first two seasons in the league (and was recovering from injury his rookie season) - so those averages include that which isn’t super relevant to the quality of players they are at this point in time.
Looking at recent history over the last two years, Jamo easily clears in yards per game (66 vs 49) and per 17 game season averages as shown below:
Jamo per 17:
65 receptions
1125 yards
7TD
48 first downs
Watson per 17
44 receptions
837 yards
5 TD
33 first downs
Watson is also two years older than Williams and has never even broken 620 yards in a season which Williams has back to back 1000 yard seasons. Hell, I don’t believe Watson has ever even broken 800 yards including his time in college.

@HoodiWaymo @RyanW513 Fun fact: Jameson Williams and Christian Watson have virtually the exact same stats in the same time frame since being drafted. The difference? Williams was drafted 12th overall and is getting paid nearly $30m/y. Watson was picked at 34 and is making $13m this year lmfao.🫵🤡

Thanks for the response and I’m genuinely not trying to be rude, but “The Broncos aren’t as good as their record says and this may not be the right time to make a big move” is an entirely different statement/point than what you originally expressed, that the Broncos should maybe not make a big move because Mahomes and Herbert are still in the division.

ok, I'll answer representatively here: you're like the 200th person to fight the straw man that i said they shouldn't try to get better, which I obviously didn't (which is insane, what happened to reading comprehension).
I just said that they put a lot of chips on the table to get better, which might or might not backfire. I'm just not sure whether they are in the same position as the Rams, where such an aggressive move makes obvious sense. The Rams window is obviously short and they were already the best team last year so it makes sense to make a move which keeps it that way. The Broncos - sorry to burst y'all's bubble - were most definitely not the best team last year, not even in the AFC. They closed the gap to the top teams and took advantage of those teams having bad years and then eventually ran out of luck in the playoffs. That was bad luck for sure. So that's a difference to the Rams. As far as the window goes, the Broncos window shouldn't be as short. If Nix is even halfway capable of going to the SB with that team, the Broncos will extend him with a backloaded contract anyway, so that extends the window by another 3 years. No reason to put all the chips on the table right now in that case. If Nix is not capable of doing that, what are we even doing here, then nothing matters.
Nevertheless, I even said I kinda get it, lol. Waddle is a very good player, obviously, and he fits what the Broncos did with Nix. It's fine. I've had much stronger takes about trades in the past, so I don't really get what the fuck is wrong with people to be so upset here.

That Denver altitude messes with a lot of brains.
Nix being a needle-moving franchise guy, let alone better than Maye, is certifiable.

Broncos fans think Bo Nix is very clearly better than DRAKE MAYE

AJ Brown prefers to be traded over staying with the Eagles, per @AdamSchefter.
All signs are now pointing to Brown’s exit from Philadelphia via trade post-June 1st for cap-saving purposes.
