A client once told us their brand felt expensive, and we'd spent the whole project removing the things that usually signal expense. Here's what actually makes something feel costly.

I see, very helpful. Before it had the tagline 'sync , and some other benefits' but the butttons were not equal height and didnt look that great aesthetically. The 'create account / join randomtask' is invisible when you have an account. I will think it through how to improve this, or remove it in total and nudge to create an account and get all the benefits later. Thank you so much!

your button says join randomtask. that's the mechanism, the act of signing up, and nobody wakes up wanting to join anything. rename it to what they get on the other side: keep your streaks, save your progress, see your stats. same button, different promise. the CTA should finish the sentence "I want to..."

@hellorudransh Useful feedback, thank you very much sir. What do you mean with "and join names the mechanism, not the prize: streaks, stats."

And the best pixels on the site are hiding halfway down: the export panel. Real UI, real numbers, 720p to 8K. That sells harder than the hero. Congrats on the launch @herdetya

Above the fold, the Product Hunt badge fights the CTA for the same click. One job per fold. Let Try it Free win.

The scroll is empty. Every section fades in so slowly that you pass 2 or 3 fully black screens between the hero and the first feature. Motion should make this page feel alive, not slow.

Animos launched on Product Hunt this week. A motion tool for designers, and honestly a smart one. But the landing page is quietly working against it. A designer's teardown:

@WilliamGurneyJr ship your entire app brand in minutes is a claim I want to believe, but the first screen asks for faith instead of proof. one before and after kit above the fold closes the argument. and 5 credits assumes I know what a credit buys. name it and the button gets braver.

@yadavdheerajraj @Everyone roasting the pitch before the page: marketplace for interviewee and interviewer describes the plumbing, not the prize. the sentence that sells is practice a real interview with someone who works where you're applying. put that line in the hero, make the plumbing invisible.

Wrote about the week I went quiet, the mountains, and why the underslept call still worked 👇 @hellorudransh/the-days-i-went-quiet-and-the-sales-call-i-took-on-zero-sleep-eea9c78c0b1b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@hellorudransh

I flew home with the laptop open, didn't sleep the whole night, and took a sales call with a German client in the morning on zero rest. The call went well. Not because I'm tough, but because I was too tired to overthink. You stop performing and just say the real version of things. Wouldn't recommend it though. That's a tax you pay later.

Restraint isn't a style. It's the loudest confidence you can put on a page.

Cheap shouts. Expensive assumes you already understand. The whole trick is designing like you have nothing to prove.

We removed the tagline. The gradient. The third font. Each cut made it feel more sure of itself.

The versions that survive are the ones that ask the least from the viewer. No explanation, no decoration, no reaching.

We test every direction against one question: would this still feel right if no one ever posted it? Most "premium" design fails that instantly.

Expensive isn't gold, serifs, or more. It's confidence. It's the sense that nothing here is asking for your approval.
