single season rapm on a short college sample not super reliable but it’s worth noting that while it absolutely loves Cam, Weagler, Yaxel, Bidunga, Krivas or Burries it also absolutely hates Graves, Swain, Darryn or Mullins

@hellyymarco Oh I don’t think he will be a good defender either, but I don’t think he will be the worst defender in the league as some other analytically driven fans suggest. Also he commits like zero fouls lol so he has room to be more aggressive

sure and you can’t overlook Acuff defensive problems but some comps are legit unfair … Trae was a 6’1 w 0 college dunks Brunson was a 198lbs fat ass w 0 dunks and 0 blocks as a junior Acuff has a presumed 6’5 wingspan with 7 dunks and 11 blocks so far, tools are not the same

@KieferCantShoot don’t think he will be an overall positive defender but that physical tools could make up a little bit to at least not being horrible also high offensive usage always takes a lot energy to be an effective 2 way player

not saying he’ll be a good defender but i mean something close to 30th percentile in defensive epm should be doable for him??? - that’s where you find Garland, Fears or Steph….. way far to the 1-6 percentile where Trae and Brunson sit
