Ships cannot move safely through key sea routes like the Strait of Hormuz. Many containers are stuck at ports or at sea. Exporters are facing big problems: • Payments are delayed • Freight costs have shot up • Insurance is hard to get • Some goods like fruits, vegetables, rice, and engineering items cannot reach buyers West Asia is a major market for India. Last year, exports to the region were worth nearly $59 billion. Now, up to 70% of shipments are affected. Many businesses have stopped new orders. Workers and small factories are worried about losses and jobs. The government has started a ₹497 crore RELIEF scheme to help exporters with logistics, insurance, and deadlines.
