My son was delivered at AAR. I did not pay 400k. On the other hand, SHA did not even cover the full bed costs like NHIF used to. So yes I do have receipts.

We visited the TaifaCare Call Centre yesterday afternoon to appreciate the issues Kenyans enquire about the Social Health Insurance. We interacted with Kenyans on live calls and answered their concerns. TaifaCare Call Centre receives between 3,000 to 6,500 calls everyday with majority of calls relating to change of phone numbers thus interfering with access to pre-authorization for medical services. More than 1 million Kenyans have so far utilized the Call Centre. Call 147 or Dial *147# and have all answers about SHA.

Mr. Aden Duale, make us understand how this two-room hospital in Wajir, Samaad Hospital
received over KSh 3 million from SHA in April, KSh 2.6 million in May, KSh 3.8 million in June, and KSh 2.3 million in August.
That’s far more money than sub-county hospitals and even some of the busiest hospitals in Nairobi.
So why haven’t you closed this one too? How is this even possible?
The rot under SHA and within the Ministry of Health is massive.
As we speak, there are many ghost hospitals and even real hospitals filing fake claims, all waiting for payouts in September.

Apparently, in Wajir, all you need is two rooms, call them a “nursing home,” and you start receiving over KSh 2 million per month from SHA.
