At the beginning of lockdown I came across this, which to me describes the essence of our society’s screwed-up mindset. I’ve been using it ever since. We had an enormously disruptive period/event/catastrophe, which we could’ve “used” (I know …) to start changing this mentality.

Genocide veronderstelt systematische vernietiging van een bevolkingsgroep om wie ze zijn, niet vanwege militaire doelen.
