Got back to a manuscript I've avoided for months because the editor's and reviewer 2's comments were so harsh. And you know what? They're even meaner than I remember. Don't be like that. There's no need, and it slows science down when it makes ppl take time to lick our wounds

Disagreeing with a claim is one thing but invalidating everything an Indigenous scholar says because of this disagreement is no different from the hubris of the West's invalidation of the knowledge production of the Rest of the world. Critique for critique's sake is reactionary.
