@bnewman13 @hereforavfctalk @Independent_ie Ask them why they instead of looking for a job ask direction to social welfare
I can not answer this question
English

‘Too many’ immigrants coming in to Ireland, says former taoiseach Bertie Ahern on video buff.ly/ACUf9za
English

@bnewman13 @ManitouStultus @Independent_ie No issue with skilled and educated people coming here and contributing. They enhance our society by paying taxes and buy their own homes. Most are active members of their communities and integrate.
English

@ManitouStultus @hereforavfctalk @Independent_ie So why can brown people do the same
American multinational are creating jobs so immigrants are going to come to Ireland
English

@hereforavfctalk @ManitouStultus @Independent_ie I'm against Ukrainians send the 100,000 home the paid holiday is over
English

@bnewman13 @ManitouStultus @Independent_ie I didn’t say all white immigrants are welcome. Quite the opposite. I said all migrant scroungers aren’t welcome. The fact that a disproportionate number of Africans are scroungers is the fault of Africans and our government for allowing them live here.
English

@hereforavfctalk @ManitouStultus @Independent_ie That just basic racist saying all white immigrants are welcome and all brown people immigrants are bad for Ireland, you are a racist
English

@bnewman13 @ManitouStultus @Independent_ie So dealing with immigration is a key part of the solution. Removing migrant scroungers (like the disproportionate % of Africans) means we can reallocate funds to services that need more funding or we can reduce tax percentages on high priced supplies.
English

@bnewman13 @ManitouStultus @Independent_ie Any immigrant that requires social housing should not be here (unless they have legitimate reasons for escaping their country). We’d free up 1000s of houses.
Deporting those who don’t work regularly and/or commit crimes should also be prioritised by the Govt. We’d save billions
English

@bnewman13 @ManitouStultus @Independent_ie No, Im merely pointing out valuable facts. Most Africans are burdens to the Irish taxpayer. Our country doesn’t benefit by having them live here, unlike many other nationalities.
English

@hereforavfctalk @ManitouStultus @Independent_ie Ok your a racist white immigration is fine but black immigrants bad, got it👍
English

@chrisquain @avfcjosh_ I’m also from Ireland. Gary Shaw was a family friend. I got to know staff, players etc. throughout my 35yrs supporting, which means I’ve greater access to the club than most locals. Do relationships I’ve developed at the club mean I’m more connected than a local?
English

@avfcjosh_ Which definition of connection?. I feel very connected as a fan for sure because there are fans out there that connect with me through socials and I have met lots of villa fans from all over. So I feel very connected. Do I have a family connection no, that’s not the same.
English

Absolutely spot on from Tom. Not supporting your local club is killing the sport. For example: if Villa win the Europa league, then it means more to me than someone for example who supports city for no reason if they won something.
Well said Tom 👏
Zac Djellab@ZacDjellab
"You have no connection to that club..." @Tgarratt10 argues that football means more when you support your local team.
English

@ManitouStultus @bnewman13 @Independent_ie I extracted figures from 2022 Census and 2025 CSO Labour Force Survey. There might be more up to date data.
The data confirms what my eyes see in relation to Africans - state burdens.
Even the majority of Africans that are in employment are in social housing.
English

@bnewman13 @hereforavfctalk @Independent_ie To talk numbers you need to understand numbers first
Stop manipulating, the largest non-Irish working populations are now mainly Polish, Indian, UK, Romanian and Brazilian nationals.
Do you know why? Because they are educated or have trade, so they are cost free&provide value

English

@bnewman13 @ManitouStultus @Independent_ie The unemployment rate in Ireland is c.4%. The unemployment rate for Africans in Ireland is c.15%. Whatever about hardworking immigrants, he was spot on when talking about Africans.
English

@ManitouStultus @Independent_ie Look at unemployment they are all Irish look at junkie all Irish
English

@TomCollomosse Foul on Buendia is 100% a penalty if he’s wearing colours of the clubs above villa in the league. That’s the issue. And there’d be no complaint from anyone because it would be the correct decision.
English

@avfc_stef He lost the ball that led to our first and started jogging back. If he was in position the initial shot isn’t taken.
English

@goal_villa46296 I’d have taken that at the start of the season.
At this stage, I just want us to win the Europa.
English

@hereforavfctalk You can say that, but you can also argue we now have X4 games against Spurs, Forest X2 & Burnley. All around the bottom of the league.
For me it's time to go all out. Would you be happy if we continue to go pedestrian style and go out of the cup and limp into 5th?
English

That's the kind of game that sums up #avfc for me. A chance to go third and cement top 5 and they all go missing. No matter how the end of the season goes, & for me personally, I need to see a much better style of football on show next season and upgrades to the likes of Cash.
English

@Aloysius16 @Alex_Berwick Not sure about that looking at Brightons form and remaining fixtures.
English

@Alex_Berwick Surely 2 wins to guarantee. Likely that we actually need fewer points than this
English

Can’t reply to all the angry messages I’ve got, so I’ll just say this.
If we don’t get to the Europa Final, and if we don’t finish top 5, I’ll be disappointed.
If we do both of those things, that’s a really great season.
Plenty have lost at Fulham this season. #avfc
English

@12_AVFC He was fine yesterday. Playing beside Mastsen means taking on the job of defending two positions. I think he does it reasonably well.
He’s not a progressive ball player, he overthinks and invites pressure.
But he’s a solid squad player and a leader in the dressing room.
Keep.
