@johnondrasik @historyrock_ Just stop. Your music has narrated some of the most important parts of my life. I love my Zep but their music lacks the depth and human connection your does.

@SenRickScott Wasn't this the result of the war that they started to wipe out Israel in its infancy? Victims of their own actions, again.

D.C. and Puerto Rico statehood? What about Long Island statehood? Albany has driven one of the largest outmigrations in New York history, and Long Island should lead the way out. We are done funding upstate failures. We are done absorbing unfunded mandates. We are done bearing sanctuary policies that endanger our neighborhoods. Long Island has the population, the economy, and the will to govern itself.

For too long, NIMBY culture has blocked the housing New Yorkers need. Not anymore. In New York City and across the state, we’re cutting red tape, bringing down costs, and letting them build.

NEW: Manhattan rents just hit another record high. Median rent for market-rate apartments in April reached $5,099/month. Up 6% in past year. Vacancy down to 1.55%. This is what a housing shortage looks like: intense demand, too few homes, and rents pushed higher and higher. It's more urgent than ever: we need to expand the supply of housing here, including affordable housing.

BREAKING: Cornell’s Board of Trustees is standing behind President Kotlikoff. They’ve determined that the behavior of the protestors who followed him and blocked his vehicle was “inconsistent with university policies governing expressive activity.” Key points: “The individual at the scene who reported that the vehicle made contact refused medical treatment from the EMS team and refused to provide sworn statements as to their account of the incident.” “The Committee has determined that the investigation conducted by CUPD was done pursuant to existing policies without any bias or undue influence.” “The Tompkins County District Attorney's office…determined that no criminal charges were warranted against any individuals involved in this matter.” “President Kotlikoff has declined to pursue a complaint against the students involved, which would have been required to initiate action under the university's code of conduct.” “Appropriate action is being taken against the non-students involved.”

I think it's very important that we stop talking so publicly about this stuff and just do it if we win power. I'm not hte first one to make this point, but Utah Republicans didn't campaign on packing the courts. There weren't think pieces on it. They just did it quietly.

Kamala Harris is now calling for Democrats to hold a “No Bad Idea Brainstorm” where they discuss: - Abolishing the Electoral College - Packing the Supreme Court - Making Puerto Rico and D.C. states “We’ve got to neutralize these red states from cheating!”

Correct, we did have a hole, caused by the tens of thousands of migrants who poured into our city while the Biden Administration stood by, did absolutely nothing, and left New York to deal with the crisis they created. I made the tough cuts necessary to close that gap, without the state giving us a pass on class size mandates and other measures, cuts the current Mayor and his socialist comrades in the City Council loudly protested at the time. The job of a mayor is to make hard choices, not politically convenient ones, by the time I left, NYC had 8 billion dollars left in reserves.

@ericadamsfornyc Bro you literally said yourself there was a 12 billion dollar hole.

@hersades1989 @charlescwcooke Because VA Dems made a winning legal argument that - by VA law - the referendum vote itself is part of the "law making" process, and until a law is actually made, the court had nothing to adjudicate.

Hearing from longtime friends @nytimes there are already discussions, including up the masthead, about retracting @NickKristof column. Issues with source credibility and lack of evidence. No indications the Kristof sourcing mistakes were deliberate. Still problematic:

The Democrats created this absurd campaign finance system — wasting $100M of taxpayer money — and then tried to weaponize it to deny the GOP candidate access to it. The lengths NY Dems have gone to corrupt our elections by violating the constitution, the laws, and the regulations are truly unparalleled. The court made the right decision.
