@k_clayt The local Dick's Sporting Goods still sells yellow Jazz merch at full price. It boggles my mind.

@itschappy I read that Utah asked the DOT to have I-70 follow 6 all the way, but the DOT wanted a more direct route to SoCal.

I-70 between Green River and I-15 has to be one of the loneliest stretches of freeway in America. Seems like almost everybody takes Highway 6. Also… Highway 6 needs to be built out more to basically resemble a freeway… especially between Price and Green River.

Will's enjoying the extra timeout because it gives him more opportunities to get in the refs' ears lol.

@JosephHorner That's why I oppose the wheel idea. Teams needed to be rewarded for good management. We need to reduce the role of luck, not increase it.

can you also imagine waiting 30 years for the #1 pick just to get it in a bad NBA draft year? YIKES

@5kl I agree in principle. But also, big government-adjacent orgs are SLOOOW at adoption. It's gonna take a lot longer than 12-18 months.

Any CEO is going to hype their product. But even if it’s not in the time he’s given, there’s huge drive by companies to reduce workforce costs and almost always will be there. There’s a huge demand unlike the example of “hot pockets CEO says hot pockets will be the only food.”

Microsoft AI CEO, Mustafa Suleyman, says that "most, if not all, professional tasks" undertaken by white collar workers will be fully automated by AI within the next 12 to 18 months

Jazz are up 34-13 early on the Kings... hmm, how do I put this... it would be surprising to see the lead change hands from here

Jazz end the half with a 14-2 run and a 61-52 lead over the Heat. Jaren Jackson Jr. has 17 points, he's averaged nearly a point per minute he's on the floor in his time with the Jazz so far.

if someone every tells you "we need to go back to the way food was" remind them that 100 years ago people used to think catcup was spicy the food was so bland and we used to fight wars over basic spices

The Miami Heat have 17 offensive rebounds with 7:20 left to go in the 2Q.

@davidjsmith1232 The fact that they made no moves after Kessler was lost for the season tells me they aren't serious about solving defensive issues this season.

@andyblarsen Obviously tonight is an outlier. But it has seemed defensive rebounding has been a challenge without Kessler.

Remarkably, the Hornets have a 61% OREB percentage tonight, which means that when they miss a shot, they're more likely to get the offensive rebound than the Jazz are to get the defensive rebound. By a 19-12 margin. That shouldn't happen, ever.

@k_clayt @davidjsmith1232 He probably would have been a star 15 years ago (a la Blake Griffin, LMA, David Lee). He would have been perfect for the Jazz then.

@davidjsmith1232 I saw that throughout the game. I've always been lukewarm on the player (before, during, and since his Jazz days), but I think he's a good guy & a professional.

By all accounts, John Collins is a great teammate and person. You can see how beloved he is among his former Jazz friends and coaches. While it made sense to part ways, I miss him in Utah.

@andyblarsen I find it poetically frustrating that the jazz have yet to address the fatal flaws of the Gobert era (defense and rebounding from other 4 players).

Jazz are getting killed on the glass in these no center minutes... they only have one healthy center right now. The Nurkic minutes were a -19 too though so it's not like that was an effective look either.

@AndrewDBailey True. But I firmly believe it's that size that prevents him from being a top 5 player. Small guys tend to not win big in the playoffs, unless they're Steph.

I sometimes think Donovan Mitchell’s superstar-level play is under-appreciated. Going 15-of-21 from the field in an NBA game, at that size, is ridiculous.
