I'm fairly certain you can "fix" all of these perceived issues on memecoins and still not resolve the actual problem...which is somewhat disappointing.
The real "problem" is a combo of human behavior and automated tooling.
Eventually, every lucrative "game" gets solved...and once it's solved, people quickly develop better and faster tooling to 'win' the game more efficiently.
That happened over a year ago with memes.
Tooling arms races eliminate market participants who don't want to play the bot/automation game (thus removing their capital from the game surface)...
and the obvious outcome is a death spiral:
tooling consolidates winners into super small % of population -> players leave the game -> "prize" (capital to win) shrinks -> smaller pot consolidates to even smaller elite % of population -> more players leave the game -> "prize" gets smaller -> etc/etc/etc
Sharks eliminate minnows.
