Derby remains undefeated as they took down #3 in 6A Wichita Northwest on Saturday 62-58. Senior point guard Jack Ulwelling led the Panthers with 27 points in the win. Ulwelling is averaging just over 15 points per game in a very balanced Panther offense. @dkwintersgolf Knew it from the pics on the sneak peak! My hometown course and where I learned the game.

On Sunday, Katy and I ventured north about an hour to play a 9 hole course. This place was a hidden gem! Good layout, greens that in season would be tough with any speed, and a ton of small town charm. Course was open, but no one was working. So we put our green fees in the box and teed it up. Standing on the 1st tee, you could see all of the hills and contour on the course. We couldn’t believe how much slope there was on the property. (I mean we are in Kansas for starters) We have had some drought conditions the last couple years so the new sod that was being striped in will be ready next year. We just made sure to stay off the new stuff and went about our round. It was probably one of my favorite small town courses we have found this last year, literally could play this place every day. I can’t wait to take a little deeper dive into the history of the course to share with y’all. Marion, Kansas. Small town, awesome golf course. ⛳️

This is one of the hardest but also one of the most important warnings from the history of Auschwitz coming for us today. Perpetrators were in fact people who accepted and followed an ideology that made them believe that they were better than others, an ideology that rationalized and promoted hatred & evil. This became part of their everyday lives and their environment. They were not monsters. They were people: fathers and mothers, husbands and wives, sons and daughters. They had their family joys and problems, their favorite desserts or songs, hobbies or fears. They were people like us. But they also perpetrated horrible things, monstrous things on behalf of the ideology they believed in. Dehumanization of all "others" was a tool that helped them achieve their goal. The perpetrators thought of themselves as moral people. And this is the scary part of this history. We cannot dehumanize them, as their story and choices are our human warning.
