If you don't spend enough time getting to know yourself, you'll end up absorbing everyone else's definition of you. The people around you will define you by what's convenient for them, not what's true about you. Do the inner work. Not for confidence, but for protection. Know yourself deeply enough that their definition can't stick.

If anything, we should be quicker to execute someone who kills because they’re insane. That makes them far more dangerous than someone who kills because they have a reason. Insanity means every person they meet is a potential victim.

The tricky part is they rarely look miserable at first. They look like they need you. Like you are the only one who understands them like leaving would make you a bad person. That guilt is the trap. You cannot pour enough of yourself into someone who has decided the cup will always be empty. Protect your energy. Not everyone is meant to come with you.

Stay away from miserable people. They will do everything in their power to bring you down with them.
