We are working on a paper about token-based voting systems.
As a case study, we address the Snapshot vote for the removal of Brantly Millegan as Director of The @ensdomains Foundation. How would the vote have turned out if ENS had used a radical voting function (as we propose in the article) instead of the one-token-one-vote method?

What unwound was not digital art, nor the idea of blockchain-based ownership. It was a specific institutional layer: the venture-backed NFT marketplace, built for exponential growth in a market that proved cyclical, thin, and culturally fragile.
The lesson is not that NFTs failed. It is that markets built on speculation cannot double as cultural institutions, and that decentralization in theory does not guarantee resilience in practice.

My paper on modern forms of generative art has been finally published in Leonardo journal, MIT Press.
Thanks to @robertoranon@tylerxhobbs@bottoproject for featuring their art!
helix6c is an incremental generative art project.
The starting point is a very simple generative code, inspired by something I read a long time ago in a book by @zenbullets, who was, unbeknownst to him, my master of generative art. The code draws 100 arbitrarily colored spirals. Each spiral is not perfect, but is perturbed using a technique known as Perlin noise. The overlapping spirals vaguely resemble a colored flower.
The project consists of modifying this code over and over again, until it is completely disrupted, while retaining its initial matrix: the warped helix. Any significant changes to the code will be saved, along with some generated digital artwork, and made public on GitBook (link below).
The project was also inspired by the work done by @robertoranon, aka Nonarotrebor, on the Substrate algorithm originally developed by Jared Tarbell.
I wrote my (second) paper on #education, specifically on how emerging technologies such as #blockchain and #AI promise a more social, adaptive, situated and interdisciplinary educational model.
Reach me out for a full copy.
My article Flip the Script, in which I dig into the limits of traditional teaching systems and propose possible technology-oriented solutions, is not live on SSNR
